I set my bag down on the chair, getting the books inside to do my homework. I grabbed a pencil and an eraser then opened the book infront of me to the assigned page. I studied the instructions carefully, making sure not to do anything wrong. In the middle of reading the questions, footsteps were heard. The footsteps sounded louder each second until the person spoke up.

"Why are you so late?" The person asked. I turned around only to see my sister looking at me worriedly. I checked my watch.

7:43pm.

I didn't respond until my sister walked away and I continued to answer my homework.

My sister came back with a bowl of ramen, smiling at me warmly.

"If you don't want to talk about it, then fine." She said while setting the bowl down on the table. I smiled at her and nodded.

🌌

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing. I rubbed my head and opened my eyes slowly. I got up and did the usual routine.

🌌

"Ms. (L/n), come with me." The principal told me as she leaded me into her office. My chest beats so fast due to the nervousness within me. As we entered the room, I sat down on the seat infront of her. I looked at her nervously in her eyes. She grabbed her mug of coffee and took a sip out of it before she began to talk. I looked at my hands on my lap nervously.

"First of all, I just want to congratulate you." She spoke up

I lifted my head up and looked at her in the eyes with a confused look.

"Ms (L/n), you are promoted with free scholarship." She said, smiling warmly at me.

My confused look turned into a happy one.

"We rented you an apartment near our school. If you accept it, we'll be the one who'll pay for it monthly." She spoke up again.

I smiled at her before responding "I'll think about it."

She nodded her head and the class bell rang. I excused myself and sprinted through the hallways. After a few seconds of sprinting, I was at the front of the door for class and before I could even turn the doorknob, the late bell rang. I quickly opened the door to reveal all of my classmates and the teacher staring at me.

"Ms. (L/n), late as always, give me a reason or detention." The teacher commanded. I rolled my eyes mentally and simply answered with "I was called by the principal." in a harsh tone.

"I won't believe it if there's n-" the teacher was cut off by the door opening behind me revealing a figure standing by the door frame.

It was the principal. She walked towards the desk and got the stapler to staple many pieces of paper together and handed it to our teacher.

Before she could leave, I wanted to give the teacher the "proof" that he wanted so I called the principal before she could open the door. She looked at me and I spoke.

"You made me come into your office, right?"

She raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Sir won't believe that that's the reason I was late." I added.

She looked at the teacher with her eyebrows furrowed before she turned to me again and answered.

"Yes, yes I did. That's for confirmation." She said to the teacher who was now very embarassed.

The principal left and I took a seat looking at all the tables and I found one beside me which was empty. While I was studying the table, the door opened revealing a tall figure. Dan.

He stood there looking tired and had sweat dripping from his forehead to the side of his face. He looked at all the seats and looked at me, smirking. I rolled my eyes annoyingly and closed my eyes. I felt the floor vibrating, meaning that someone was walking harshly and heard a seat near me falling. I inhaled heavily and opened my eyes. I looked beside me and saw a chair on the floor and there was a person on the fallen chair looking extremely hurt. I rolled my eyes at the view and looked at the teacher.
