"Don't be ridiculous.
You can't swim."
I shook my head.

"You should really quit telling me
What I can't do."
She said turning away.

And I watched in shock.
And some fascination.
As she removed her clothes.

I tried my best not to look.
As she walked to the edge.
And stood on her toes.

"Well I'm jumping in whether you
Like it or not.
So, your choice."

She turned her head.
And smirked at me.
And yet again.

She was playing with me.
And this time.
I refused to lose.

Before I thought about it.
Too much.
I shrugged off my clothes.

And grabbed her hand.

"Fine."
I responded smiling at her.
"On three."

"One."

"Two."

I jumped after two.
Pulling her with me.
And laughing the whole way down.

We landed in the water.
With a splash.
And I got pushed away from her.

When I surfaced.
I saw her splashing around.
Like a seizing duck.

I laughed and held her arms.
Making her still.
And suddenly everything was still.

When I realized just how close she was.
And when I realized.
I couldn't let go of her.
