Vic's point of view
"Jab! Jab! Uppercut! Left foot axe kick!"
"Haaaa!" I yelled as I tried catching my breath
Done training for today. That was kick boxing by the way. All my life, I wanted to fight and defend myself. When someone pulls me down, I go back up. When someone bullies me and tries to hurt me by punching me or something, I defend myself by kicking their ass. No one messes with me. They knew I'm the queen of martial arts of our school. I completed all the levels of Taekwondo and Aikido at the age of 10. I won a lot of gold medals for winning tournaments. I learned Kung-Fu when I was 9 and continued doing it until I became 13. And I've been learning kick boxing since when I was 13. My dream is to be a representative of our country. That's why I trained so hard. And so as my fencing.
I'm still new at fencing. I started it when I was 14. But I already won 3 gold medals. I have no fear of getting scars, bruises and anything. I'm used to it. I have no time for shopping because all my life I've been focusing only for my dreams. No boyfriend since birth. But I fell in love with a guy. A guy who doesn't love me the way I did.
Now I'm here in the gym. What am I doing? I'm working out. It makes me feel relaxed and not being able to think about my problems. I wanted to win every tournament because I want to help my mom. I want to make her proud. I want to save money for her surgery. She always refuses whenever I told her to have a surgery. She's always worried about the school bills because she sent us to an expensive school. It's not just an ordinary private school. It's an international school. And its tuition is 20 times more expensive than the other private schools.
My mom wants to give me everything. She bought me expensive things even though I don't really need it. And it's not necessary to have it. Just like my gears. My training clothes. It's not really necessary to wear sports bra and any of that! And I don't need hundreds of shoes and clothes. She even bought me a car. We're not rich. She's just trying to give us everything. And I don't know why.
I went home. When I was about to go upstairs but I overheard my mom having a conversation on the phone.
"Hindi pa ako ready magpapa surgery. Kelangan ng mga anak ko ang aking pera. Napakamakasarili ko naman kung dito ko ibuhos lahat ng gastos sa sarili ko. Saka, malaki ang kailangang pera ni Troy para sa kanilang field trip dun sa London." Sabi ni mommy
Oo Tagalog ang language namin. Pero mas comfortable ako sa English. British accent pala.
Anong field trip? Sa London pa talaga? Baka nagsisinungaling na naman si Troy. Pumunta ako sa itaas at nung insaktong nasa harapan ko na ang pinto ng kwarto ni Troy, may narinig akong mga boses.
"Ang galing mo talagang magpalusot, tol!" Narinig ko ang boses ni Zen
"Oo nga. Eh 1,500 lang naman ang kailangang bayaran natin ah. Saka London pa talaga ang pinalusot mo? Baka magdududa ang mommy mo niyan." Sabi ni Derek
