Chapter 1: where everything begun

I turned the TV off. I walked carefully so I didn’t wake him up. He slept in the sofa like a baby boy. I smiled when I saw his face. He looked so innocent there. Not like the very annoying Stephan that I encounter almost everyday. I went to my bedroom and I brought a blanket. For him of course. I covered his body with the blanket when I almost left him to my bedroom; I felt his hand pulled my hand. “What’s wrong?” I asked him. He groaned and said, “Don’t go. You can sleep with me here or I can sleep with you in your bed room. I smirked and rejected his offer. “You, wish.” Then he woke up and pulled me on his lap. My heart was beating faster because I knew, if he tried to do something to me, my strength will not able to handle him. He kissed me on my lips. A very passionate kiss. He tried to pull my T-shirt off but I pushed his hand away. “Please don’t, Stephan.” He broke the kiss. “Your ity just for him isn’t it?” “You knew from the beginning Stephan. It was you who force me to accept you as my boyfriend.” I stood from the sofa. I just try as hard as I could get away from him. His touch scared me. I was so scared that I would enjoy his touch. There was a shadow in his eyes. I knew he was disappointed, but as other nights, he had always respected my decision. He stood and opened the door. “Where are you going?” I approached him. “I’m sorry Stephan.” He rubbed my head and smiled. “It’s okay Taeyeon. I need to calm down my self and my ‘little boy’” I laughed when I heard his sentence. Because he had never failed to make me laugh, I accepted him to be my boyfriend. “Take care, Stephan.” He waved his hand and disappeared. Just only I didn’t have Mushroom. ~~~~~~ Having Sunny and Yuri as my friends sometimes it felt the same as annoying as having Stephan as my boyfriend. They forced me to attend the blind date. They said it will be good to forget about Mushroom. “It will not work.” I assured them. But they didn’t listen to me. We walked pass the film studio for students who get directing as their major. I saw him there. I saw Stephan with his hat talking with his friends. They seemed so serious. No wonder, this year is his last year. It was already 2 years. I met him in this university. ***** I couldn’t reach the calculus book in the top of the shelf. Then someone came and brought the book that I want. “Thanks…” But unfortunately, that rude guy brought the book that I needed for him self. He approached the library keeper and borrowed that book. I grumbled. “Didn’t he know that I really need that book?” There was no same book left. I walked from the library with a disappointment. Just if I’m taller, I will get that book before him. Then when I out from library, I felt something in my head. It was that book. A guy in front of me smirked and said, “You want this book?” “You borrowed it first, you can have it.” “But I didn’t need it because I get filming and directing as my major.” He kept talking even me walking away from him. “So why do you borrow that book?” “I borrowed it for you. You are from engineering department isn’t it?” I stopped my walk and looking at him. “Who are you seriously? Why are you bothering me?” He laughed and said, “Are you leaving from outer space and you don’t know me? I’m Stephan Hwang!” “So what Mr Hwang?” He sighed and said, “I’m a newcomer and I appeared in many fashion magazine.” “Which I don’t care.” I continued my walk. I just wanted to get away from this weird person. “But I know you. Kim Taeyeon, 18 years old. First year in chemical engineering. I’m Stephan Hwang and I’m interested in you. Would you be my girlfriend?” He said while whispering in my ear. I couldn’t say anything. I was speechless by his sudden confession. ***** Remembering Stephan actually made me didn’t want to attend this blind date. But I also never forbid him to date with those actresses. I’m free and so does he. I sent message to him. “Stephan, I will go for a blind date. Don’t wait me in my apartment.” I clicked the send menu. 30 seconds later there was his answer. “Good luck…. You should go out often so you don’t become a nerd. P.S. I’m still waiting in your apartment.” He dared to call me as nerd? I texted him again, “Don’t wait me.” But no replied from him. ~~~~~ I was so bored. Sunny and Yuri seemed enjoy the blind date. They did karaoke like crazy girls. No one there make me interest. But that was before he came. He came all out sudden. He said, “I’m so late. But seemed his friends didn’t hear him because they busy sang with Yuri and Sunny. He sat beside me and smiled to me. He introduced him self. “My name is Daniel Henney. But you can call me Daniel.” Oh My God! His smile… his adorable smile really resembled my Mushroom and he seemed American too! Mushroom also went to America to meet his father there. Is this guy really my Mushroom. “E… Kim Taeyeon.” I answered nervously. “You looks so innocent. Just like lily.” He opened the conversation. “Lily?” “Yeah.. Lily is an innocent flower isn’t it?” He smiled and he looked so sweet. Could he be my Mushroom?
