Chapter 9

I woke up with a pain in my back. What happened last night? I remember Luke telling me to move out of the way. Then what happened? Did something hit? Was it all a dream? I moved around and realized I am in bed. I looked around the room. This is not my room. Did someone kidnap me? What is going on? The realization hit me. Today is Friday. A school day and prom. OH MY GOD PROM!! In order to get to prom I had to be there today at school. I looked for a clock. I found a digital clock next to the bed on a table. It was 5:00. Thank God I woke up on time. I need to get ready. Wait I don't have clothes and I can't wear the same thing. This sucks. I rolled over onto my stomach and used my elbows to sit up. It is the morning. I am lazy at the moment. I leaned my back against the wall. Oh shit that hurts. I saw a blanket. A blanket? All the sudden the blanket started moving.
"Good morning beautiful," I heard a hoarse voice say. Wow every girl's dream. Wait a minute that voice.
"Luke?"
"What I couldn't leave you lying on the cold hard ground ohhh," Luke sat up and smiled.
"Well thank you. What did happen anyways?" I was still very confused on the fact that i was on the ground.
"That is not important at this moment. What is important that you go home and get ready for school. You want to go to prom. Oo maybe I should drop you home so you don't have to walk," Luke now was off the floor and was heading for the door.
"If you insist," I am not walking home. We walked down stairs as Luke grabbed his keys and headed out the front door.
2 minutes later
"Here we are," Luke pulled up in my driveway. I opened my the car door and waved goodbye. I picked up the mat in front of my door and found the key. I opened the door and put the key back where is was. I ran up the stairs and into my room. Time for another day at school.
1 hour or so later
"Hi guyss," Anna jumps.
"Hiii," I reply. You know just some normal conversation.
"Where were you last night?" Negin questioned.
"I was at the mall," I didn't want to tell them.
"No I mean after that," Negin asked.
"Nothing," How did she know anyway?
"I saw. You were going to walk home but then car came up to you. Michael and I saw you running back to the mall entrance and said something. The next thing we know it you fallen on the ground and Michael and I was about to run to you, but we saw Luke coming out of the car. He tried getting you up. He even beat up a guy. It was creepy so ya," Negin told me everything.
"Luke beat up a guy?" Luke Hemmings beat up a guy. For me?
"Why did she fall though?" Alisha asked. They all stared at me.
"I don't know either and Luke didn't tell me why. But before I fell I did feel a pinch or something." I didn't understand anything. All I thought of at this moment that Luke beat up a guy for me.
"Are you guys excited for prom?" Ashton came up to us disturbing our conversation.
"Oh yess. I can't wait to see each other's dresses," Alisha replied. The bell rang which means it is time to go to social studies. We all started walking in. The first thing I saw was Luke. I walked towards him and sat in my spot next to him so we can work on our project even though we are done we just act like we aren't.
"So are you going to tell me what happened?" I asked.
"I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not," he smiled.
"Ha, ha. Very funny."
"It really was."
"LUKE, KYLIE IF YOU TALK ONE MORE TIME I WILL SEND YOU OUT IN THE HALL," the teacher yelled. All eyes on us. Anna and Calum was lip saying to Luke to wear protection. Ughh of course they would. Michael and Negin joined in. Soon enough Ashton and Alisha were joined in but not saying wear protection. They are saying pull. Michael and Negin change to making sexual noises. I know my face went crazy red. Luke grabbed my hand. I bet that made it worse. This is going to be a crazy class.
