Darkness

Each day brings a new light for me, or so I hope it's a light. Being stuck in the same room, with the same furniture and same people visiting each day becomes an endless cycle for me.

3 months they told my mother, 4 months they told Jack but for me, they said they didn't know.

It all started back on one summer's day.

5 months earlier
"Why don't we do something today?" your boyfriend Jack said while stroking your hair as you both lay on your bed.

"Why don't we just be lazy today?" You said staring up into his eyes with a massive grin on your face.

"Well my dear we have been doing that for the past 4 days now, and I fear you'll turn into a monster if you're trapped in here any longer. Now go get dressed and then I'll surprise you on how much fun the outside can be" Jack said jumping to his feet and lifting you up.

"You should be grateful I'm not murdering you right now for making me get out of bed" you said giving him a kiss on his cheek and running to your bathroom.

Once dressed, you met Jack outside your house where he flew you over to your favourite spot, the lake. With it being Summer, the lake glistened in the sunlight with the water gushing by and the occasional fish jumping out of the water.

Within a few seconds the entire lake froze over, and Jack magically made two pairs of skates appear.

"Jack, you know I'm awful at skating. Please don't make me do this" you said with puppy dog eyes.

"Come on Y/N! It'll be fun" he exclaimed while dragging you onto the ice.

The two of you skated round the lake for hours, both with smiles plastered on faces, and hands held tightly until it all happened in a flash. One second you were laughing at Jack, the next you lay on the ground, blood pouring from your head and eyes shut.

Jack carried your body to the hospital but it was too late. You were already in a coma from the trauma your head had received. The doctors were unsure of when you would wake up and continuously reassured your mother and Jack that you would eventually come back.

Fast forward to present day :

"Hi Y/N! I've brought you something today, something I hope you'll like" the voice said while holding your lifeless hand.
"It's a charm bracelet, with one charm being your initials and the other a snowflake so that when you wake up you'll remember all the lovely times we shared my darling. I have to go now but I promise I'll be back tomorrow..." the voice kissed your hand and whispered "I love you" leaving you feeling a hole in your heart as you knew who the voice belonged to.

You wished the darkness would fade and allow your imprisonment to be broken but for now you live this nightmare, hoping to be awoken and reunited with Jack again.
