The Mutant Games Part 2

Woot woot! 2nd part!

Fire through my veins. A pulse of white light. A dull throbbing in the back of my mind. I ignore it though, and open my eyes. Yes! I wolfed.

Not exactly full shifting but you know, my senses get all jacked and I can hear, smell, feel, see, anything. And speed and strength are affected too of course.

I call it wolfing, because of the DNA that's now entangled in mine. I know, oh Percy! Big words.

Anyway, I was searching for food and thought wolfing would be a good idea. Max, and Angel were with me. "Wish we could get food like last time." Max grumbled from behind me. We've been searching for hours. I bet everyone else is done with their chores!

"Why can't we find any animals or something." I whined. It was hot, my feet hurt, and I was starving, give me a break.

So I was in front, while Max searched behind me. Angel was above us, looking for ANYTHING! "I am SO hungry. I mean, once I was super hungry, close to starvation, but nothing like this." I rambled on. I heard Angel land behind me and I turned around to find her with 4 mangoes! "Wahoo!" I cheered, then something caught my eye. "What is it Percy?" Angel whispered. "I think hunger has made me delusional." I said softly eyes focused on the object. "What is it?!" Max growled into my ear. "Water..."

We all cheered, it was hard and rare to find water in this arena. And, you know, son of Poseidon here! But no one else here knew that... If I need water, I know where some is now!

"Come on guys let's go back." Max ordered, pushing us back to camp.

"I wonder why we haven't seen any Erasers." Gazzy asked while munching on a piece of fruit. "Or anyone actually." Iggy continued Gazzy's thought. "Well, lets not dwell on that." Max said standing up,"We have to work on Percy's power." What? "WHAT?" I yelled, echoing my thought.

"You are our only chance of escaping! So you'd better get your butt over here before I make you." she growled, kinda scaring me. O stood up, and scrambled over to her standing at attention. "At ease soldier!" Gazzy joked high giving Iggy. I glared at him but focused on what Max was saying.

"So we will fight. When u wolf drop to the ground so we can see what you can do."

It sounded simple enough. Not exactly. I kept getting beat before I could wolf. But this time I was determined.

Punch, block. Kick, dodge. Punch, block. Wait for it.... Wait for it.... WOLF UP! Drop to the ground!

"Ya!" I cheered, getting off of the ground. "Now what?"

Before anyone could answer I heard a deep growl from behind me. I turned around to see a big Eraser. "OK, Perce, next lesson. Defeat him." Gazzy said. "What? Why not you guys?" I whined, I didn't want to be KILLED! I hope that's reasonable. "Its just you need a lesson and for us... well it'll be fun to watch!" Angel explained. "So X, every since I beat you and your girlfriend, you've been scared of me!" he cackled. That ticked me off. Scared? Did he know who I was? Obviously not, or else he'd be screaming like a banshee, and running away.

"Oh, look guys. Its Fido! Have you come to huff and puff again?" I mocked, sticking out my lower lip. I heard snickering behind me, and the Eraser got even madder.

"Come on X, I beat you once. I can do it again!" he growled. I laughed even though I was freaking out inside. Soon he lunged for me and I ducked barely missing his grasp. I did a round house kick to his ribs and then an upper cut to the jaw. Pretty sure I heard something crack! Wolfing definitely helps during a fight.

He swung a punch, hitting my chest and I stumbled backwards. "Ha!" he yelled, "Still as weak!". "OK 2 things, 1 I am not that weak and 2 is that all you got?" was my reply. He growled, but that destracted him. So I took a stick spun around and wacked him on the back of the head. And he went down! "PERCY JACKSON WINS AGAIN!" I cheered in an announcers voice.

Then a huge voice boomed,  "The last Eraser is down! The game is done. Too bad though, it was too quick." Well at least I mastered part of my power! Woot woot! Then my wolf powers went down, and I felt kind of tired?

Then I realized something... The flock was missing. "Max?" I called, "Angel, Fang?" Where was everyone. I found them all up in trees.

"What are you guys doing up there?" I asked. Something was going on.

"Fang was right." Max spat, "We shouldn't trust you." What? "Huh?" I yelled so they could hear me. "You told us nothing about yourself." Angel called down to me.

"Ugh! I told you! Its too dangerous! Please, Ill help you escape and then well be done with each other!" I pleaded. They have to understand! A dropping sound right behind me. I turned and it was Nudge who tackled me in a hug. "I knew we could trust you!" Two more thumps cane from behind me as Nudge let go, it was Piggy and Gazzy. "Sorry we ran, man." Iggy smiled, bro hugging me. "Yeah!" Gazzy agreed, doing the same.

Max, Angel, and Fang were still up in the tree. "What's it gunna take for you to trust me?" I asked. Really, what went wrong? I didn't do anything bad, did I? "Tell us everything." Max said. Was she serious? And deaf... "No!" I shouted, this was frustrating!

"Why is it so important?" I asked. "Cause, you're maybe a challenge." Fang replied. That's the most I've ever heard him say.

"What?" I asked. This was RIDICULOUS! "A scientist might have made you, to trick us!" Seriously, I think this guy just needed a reason for everyone to turn on me.

"Seriously, Im like you!" Not a total lie, so I took a sharp rock a drew a lime down my arm. I grimiced in pain, as blood sprouted up.

Max and Angel dropped down from the tree. "Yep he's human." Angel muttered. "That doesn't prove anything." Fang called, man this dude's annoying!

"Well trust you for now." Max said but didnt seem like she cared if she trusted me. Everyone was on the ground except Fang, and left towards the camp site to "pack up".

Suddenly Fang dropped down. "Dude, what's your problem?" I growled. He looked shocked, like it was obvious. "Stay away from Max." That was unexpected...

"What?" was my intelligent response. Smooth, Perce, smooth. "I see your game, with all the smiles and laughing..."

"I have a girlfriend!" I said, exasperated. Que the shock..

"Um, sorry man, I, uh, forgot?" Fang questioned. He was always so quiet and solid, I never saw him show emotion.

"Lets just go." I mumbled, and Erasers took us inside.

Sorry for the bad ending...

I wasn't sure how to play Fang but, oh well. Sorry it took so long, next chapter will be soon :)
