Goodbye

Goodbye? ITS SO SAD! ... Not really ;)

Percy POV

"Come on!" Max yelled as we all raced down the Schools halls. I smiled to Annabeth and grabbed her hand, I am so glad she's with us.

Anyway we were racing down a hallway, red lights flashing, a loud siren wailing. A bunch of gayrds burst through a door behind us catching up quickly. "Guys run!" I shout and everyone but Annabeth keeps on going. Of course! That's Annabeth, not letting me put myself in any "danger".

I checked 2 of them as Annabeth punched the other one. "I'm not losing you, seaweed Brain, not after Tartarus." she whispers pulling me after the flock.

I didn't argue, I didn't protest, I just ran, because that's what she wanted me to do. I knew I couldn't live if I lost her, and I couldn't do the same to her. In my head an echo of a movie, Forrest Gump, played in my head. "Run, Forrest, run." And even though my name wasn't Forrest Gump, I still ran like the wind. :)    (A/N I had to put that Forrest Gump thing in there, it twas destiny! :P Sorry Im such a nerd ;))

I could see we were heading for a door, which seemed to lead outside. We burst outside and the sun was so blinding I had to squint. Soon Erasers appeared behind us and barked orders to each others, literally barked.  They seemed to enjoy chasing us, so if they enjoy this, why not make it fun for us?

I slowly turned around and everyone stopped to see what I was doing. By now the Erasers, there were 3, had slowed down and were walking carefully towards us, with crooked smiles on their wolfy faces. I matched their grins and closed my eyes and focused on one terrible, scary, horrific idea, me losing Annabeth. I imagined someone killed her, how mad I'd be, and focused on the rage. I smiled one last time before quickly shifting into a wolf. Wow, a lot easier the second time!

I raced towards them snarling.

And five seconds later I'm standing infront of 3 unconscious Erasers. I smile and turn around and catch up to everyone.

Finally, we appear at a cliff over the sea.

"So, um I guess this is goodbye." I said slowly as everyone nodded. "Well thanks." Max said quietly. "Did Maximum Ride say thanks." I said im a teasing tone. "Yeah, we couldn't have gotten out if it wasn't for you." she replied.

I smiled and hugged her. Then I shook Iggy, Gazzy, and Fangs hand. I hugged Angel and was about to ask where Nudge went when someone tackled me. "Please don't go." Nudge whispered muffled, into my back. She hopped off, and I turned to her. "OK, well... then... lets say see you later." I whispered kissing her forehead. So she screamed with happiness. I knew she'd like that, ugh she's a loud screamer! I went over to Annabeth, "Shall we?" I asked holding out my arm. "We shall." she smiled.

I waved one last time before jumping off the cliff with Annabeth, into the sea.

Max POV

What? Are they suicidal?!?! "No!" we. all scream running to the edge. As everyone, except Fang started to get sad, I said, "No. They aren't dead. I know they are different, I just have to figure out what."
