I wake up at 7:25 to get ready for school.I go take a shower and put on my school uniform:



My never-present mom wanted me to go to a private school because she said and I quote"public high schools teach you nothing,if you go to a private school You learn more and you can get into a better college."I hate going to my school,all the girls there think they're better than everyone else.but I gotta admit most of the guys are really good looking.my school is called the winterton day private school.which basically screams"you have to pay thousands of dollars for you child to go here." I get dressed and go outside to wait for my school bus to come and get me.all of a sudden I see a car park in front of my house and Ivan gets out of the driver's side.he walks up to me,"hey what are you doing up so early?"he asks."I have to go to school,I'm waiting for the school bus to come and get me."I explain."I can give you a ride if you want."Ivan says."yeah thanks."I reply.Ivan puts his hand out for me to grab,I grab his hand and he helps me up.we walk to his car and I get into the passenger side.I give him directions to my school."later I'll tell Emilio to come get you because I'll be busy."Ivan says."what are you doing after school?"I ask."well,I kinda have a date with Katy."he answers."oh,good for you Ivan.I'm happy for you."I say.he pulls up to the curb of my school."so I guess I'll see you tomorrow."I say before getting out.I close the door behind me and go inside.I go to my locker and put my backpack inside.my best friend Max walks up,"good morning bb."he says,hugging me from behind."hey Maxwell."I say as I grab my books out of my locker."what's wrong bestie?"he asks,letting me out of the hug."this boy I have a crush on is going on a date with my friend Katy,tonight."I reply."aww that's depressing."he says."I know right,the thing is I was going to ask him to go on a one with my tonight too.and the only one who knows that I like him is my brother Mario."I explain.My phone buzzes in my hand.I look down and see that Katy had sent me a text.I open it:
Conversation:

Katy:Libby do you know where my pink flower headband?I have a date with Ivan tonight and I need it to complete my outfit

Libby:no idea.but congrats on the date with ivan,hope you have fun.

Katy:yeah I definitely will.hope you have fun sitting at home by yourself.

Libby:what do you mean?

Katy:I know you wanted ask Ivan on out on a date.so I made sure you didn't.

Libby:how did you know that???

Katy:let's just say someone close to you told me

"Who's that?"max asks looking at my phone."the girl going on a date with my crush.she just told me that someone close to me told her about me wanting to ask him on a date."I explain."is Mario the only one who knows?"max asks."yeah,you and him but you just now found so he must be told her."I say."you'll find out after school.we better get to homeroom before we're late."he says,grabbing my hand and pulling me towards our homeroom class.
-7 hours later-
Finally school is over so I can go home and figure out if Mario told Katy that I like Ivan or not.I walk out the school's front doors and as usual,max is waiting for me.but something unusal was waiting for me as well.emilio.I walk up to them,they looked as if they were deep in conversation."oh there she is.hey libby,we were just talking about you."max says."so I see you've met Emilio."I say."yeah he's pretty cool.he was looking for you so I told him to wait for you with me."max explains."thanks max.I'll see you tomorrow."I reply as I give him a hug.max kisses my cheek before he waves and walks away."so is he like your boyfriend?"Emilio asks."oh no he's my best friend.he's the only one that makes this school more tolerable.everyone else is snobby rich kids.but max is different,he's humble and doesn't flaunt his money like the others do."I answer.emilio nods,"so Ivan told me to pick you up because he had to get ready for his date.can you believe that?"Emilio asks."no I can't."I say as I put my thumbs under the straps of my backpack."at least I know you're single."he says putting his arm around me."yeah."I say smiling up at him.we get to his car and get in.he drives me home,"do you want to hang out a little bit?I have nothing to do since Ivan isn't gonna be home and my housemates aren't home."emilio asks."sure do you wanna hang here or at your house?"I ask."we can hang at my house if you want."he replies."okay let me put my bag up and change.you can come in if you want."I say.we both get out of the car and go inside.ariella was sitting in the living room,"oh,katy ivan's here!"ariella says.Katy runs down stairs,"hey ivan."Katy says as she bounces down the stairs."this isn't Ivan Katy this is Emilio."I say with attitude."shut up I'm sure I could tell them apart."Katy sneers."apparently not."I say to myself."so are you ready to go?"she asks."uh,im hanging out with Libby."Emilio says."why would you want to hang out with her?she has a crush on you."katy asks."she does?"Emilio asks."Katy.shut up."I say."why?he should know how you feel.so go on,tell him how much you you wanted to ask him to go on a date with him."Katy says."this is not ivan,it's emilio!and why are you spilling my business?you shouldn't even know any of that!"I yell."well guess what?I do and he should know this."Katy says."who even told you this stuff?"I ask.I see ariella who had just walked over looking at the floor with a guilty look on her face."you told her?!"I ask."I'm sorry I was just obeying girl code rule #1"ariella says nervously."by telling my business that you shouldn't even know?!"I yell angrily."yeah she told me and she told me that you and Ivan kissed."katy says crossing her arms."you did?"Emilio asks confusedly."yes we did but only once."I reply."why am I still here talking to you me and Ivan are going on a date and there's nothing you can do about it."Katy says."you know what?I don't care anymore.I'd expect these kind of things out of Mario but you ariella?you may have been'obeying girl code' but you completely forgot about rule #2 keep your friends secrets."I asks."I'm sorry."she says quietly."and I'm tired of this Katy,im done with you thinking you overpower us all."I say."so what are you gonna do about it?"she asks."no it's what you're gonna do.you're gonna move out of my house.you have until the end of the week to move out."I reply angrily."what?!but it's Thursday?!"she exclaims."then I suggest you start packing after your date."I say.then Ivan walks through the door,"Katy are you ready to go?"he asks."wait,you're Ivan?"she asks."yeah that's Emilio,can't you tell us apart?"he asks."no she can't.you guys better get going."I say.they leave and then I go upstairs.Emilio follows,"are you okay?"he asks."I think so.can I stay at your place until the end of the week?"I ask."yeah let me text Jake and tell him."he replies.I put a uniform and 2 outfits in my bag.I put a t-shirt and some compression shorts into my bag.then me and Emilio leave.once we get to the house he shows me his room.he tells me that I was going to share a bed with him.a few hours later Ivan comes in,"hey how was your date brother?"emilio asks."terrible.she was on her phone almost the entire time and she wouldn't stop talking about how petty Libby was for giving her until the end of the week to move out."Ivan answers."oh that's bad."emilio says."that's Katy for ya."I add."I'm going to bed."Ivan says as he climbs up onto the top bunk.I soon hear him lightly snoring.I lay in the complete darkness next to emilio,who was facing the opposite direction I was.I think he could feel me shivering because he turns towards me and whispers"are you cold?"I turn to face him,"yeah kinda."I whisper back."here."he says,brushing me closer to him."that better?"he asks."yeah thanks."I reply.he kisses my forehead and then I soon fall asleep.
