A/N: one more chapter to go!
Saturday came and went so fast, it was like I didn't even get a chance to blink before we were already packed and on the road back home.
Everything flew by too fast and I was dreading going back to reality when all I wanted to do was have another few weeks alone with Lauren. It wasn't fair that we only got to spend a week together and now we have to go back to school and act like we're just teacher and student.
It's hard now because after that week we shared, we discovered a lot about each other and explored so much. We finally made love and had a deeper connection than ever before.
Why must God do this to us? I just want it to not be over.
As the world was flying by outside of the window, I couldn't help but think about after I graduate and how amazing it's going to be to finally be with Lauren for the rest of my life.
I couldn't wait to wake up next to her every morning and not have to worry about a single thing anymore. We're finally care free and I couldn't be happier. We didn't have to worry about Luis, and now that I knew Sofia was in rehab and finally doing better, I don't have to worry about her or getting sent off from the police finding out about her abusing me anymore.
It was like, my life was finally beginning after all of those years and I couldn't help but stare up at the sky and wonder if my mom is watching over me. I wonder if she's proud of who I have became and is she happy that I finally found the love of my life.
I looked over at Lauren as she was driving and I couldn't stop smiling. I'm finally where I want to be and I finally got the woman of my dreams. After all the shit that I was put through, this is my happily ever after.
I knew that she was my protection and I knew that I would protect her too in order to keep her safe. I kept her safe from Luis and I kept her safe from that guy at the club. I knew that no matter what, she would protect me too.
When the word protection crossed my mind, I immediately thought of my mom and what she told me that day at the doctors. I know now that she knew that I would find someone who would protect me and take care of me, and I finally found her.
As I was staring at her, a thought came into my head and I immediately sat up straight, "Lauren," she glanced over at me and I had a stupid smile on my face.
"What?" she glanced between me and the road.
"Before we do anything else when we get back, I would like for you to take me somewhere,"
She gave me a confused look, "Where?"
I smiled, "I want you to meet someone,"

Four hours later, we finally made it to town and I told her exactly where to go. I didn't want to give away any hints because I wanted it to be a secret.
We finally made it to the cemetary and when she parked, she looked over at me, "Are you sure we're at the right place?" she looked back at the cemetary then at me.
I nodded, "Completely," I opened the door and smiled at her, "Come on," I made my way to the gate and waited for her as she shut the door and walk towards me.
I opened the gate and we both walked in. I knew exactly where she was located this time so I walked right to it as Lauren was behind me.
I stopped when I was in front of it and I looked up at Lauren, "I want you to meet my mom," I watched as her eyes landed on the tombstone and I could see something in her eyes.
