Chapter 5

                                                                                       Bilbo's POV

There was a knock on my door. I got up from the table and opened the door to find Delaney. She gave me a smile and she rocked back and forth.

"May I come in?" she asked

"Y-yea, s-sure." I told her and walked towards the dining room

She sat down and I went into the kitchen to brew a cup of coffee. Delaney started talking from in the dining room, but I wasn't able to hear her.

When I came back to her, I two mugs of coffee in my hands that I set on the table. Del took her coffee gratefully and looked at me with a smile.

"W-what?" I asked

"Nothing, It's just been so long since I last saw you." She said

"Y-you did m-move." I answered

She sighed, "I know and I'm happy there. I have a great job and a nice house, but one thing I don't have is my friends."

"Y-you c-could a-always move b-back h-here." I said

"Yea, but I don't want to leave that place." She said

"O-oh, s-sorry." I said

"For what?" She asked

"O-oh, f-for a-assuming y-you wanted t-to m-move h-here." I said

"Oh, it's alright." She took a sip of her coffee

"S-so." I said

"Anything new happening in Central City?" She asked

"N-no." I answered

"Oh, I would have thought there would be something." She said

"T-there i-is a new p-play p-playing in t-the theater." I said

She perked up, "Really?"

"Y-yea." I answered

"Get up." She smiled

"W-what?" I asked

"Get up, you and I are going to see a play." She took my gloved hand and took me towards the theater.

We got tickets to the play and then sat in our seats waiting for the show to start. Delaney was talking to the person next to her about the play and what it was about. I tuned out and looked around the theater to see Aliana, Ender, and Charley sitting in the balcony. They had come to see the play as well.

Aliana caught my eye and waved at me. I waved a small wave back and turned back around because the lights flickered signaling the play was about to start.

When the play was over, we met Aliana and Ender outside. Charley was nowhere to be seen and I didn't blame him for wanting to leave before Del saw him.

"Hey guys!" Ender said

"Ender? What are you doing here? I thought you were in a different city." Delaney said

"I came back to see Aliana and the gang." He answered

"Oh, I see." Delaney winked at Aliana and Aliana looked away from Delaney

"Bilbo, long time no see." Ender said

"Y-you s-saw m-me t-this morning." I stated

"Oh, yea, that's right...." Ender said awkwardly realizing he made a mistake.

"Well it's late, we better go and get to our homes to sleep for a new day to come." Delaney said

With that, everyone left for their homes and we went to sleep.
