Unexpected ★ (US Sans x Reader)

                                                                              ~ Y/N's P.O.V~

Undyne had a pale gold soul in a tube. Alphys, Sans and papyrus burst through the door. Undyne took some substance from your soul, so you were very dizzy, and your vision was blurry. You fell asleep on the chair you were sitting in. Your soul was a little paler but you still had your durability.

''Will she be alright?'' Sans asked, he was worried for you. I f you were hurt, he would be mad.

'' Y- yes Sans don't worry she will be fine! Follow me, I want to show you the soul. Y/N sacrificed some of her Durability for it. She will contain the soul for a little bit, so the soul can fully, um.... generate. It might take some time, but after about a month or two, it will be a full soul!'' Undyne led them to a soul that was a pale gold color.

She opened the container and the soul moved freely. Papyrus, Sans and Alphys stared in awe as it moved.

''I'm gonna let Y/N get a lot of rest, Sans and Papyrus, can you let her rest at your house for a while until she wakes up, and when she does call me,''. She said as she put the soul back in the container.

Sans picked you up bridal style and you giggled in your sleep and you said weird things in your sleep like, ''Hey Lexi what's up, I'm gonna die'' Sans was scared at this point. He laid you down in his bed, and he sat down next to you. You started crying in your sleep and screamed. Sans rubbed your back. He was not allowed to wake you, you had to wake up on your own.

You calmed down after but still looked uncomfortable. Sans laid down next to you, and wrapped his arms around your waist. He looked at you and blushed. He soon fell asleep.

                                                                             ~Sans' P.O.V~

I woke up next to Y/N my skull in on her chest. I got up and stretched. I blushed a darker shade of blue. She was still sleeping. I started to make Eggs and toast for breakfast. I was wondering who Lexi was. Maybe it was a monster friend. Or a human friend. I might ask you later. You started to walk down the steps. ''Morning Sans.''

Sans jumped a little bit,'' Good Morning Y/N!!! How is your vision?''

''Its better, it gets blurry a little bit, but its fine.'' I nodded and called Undyne.

''Oh, H -Hello who is this?'' I heard Undyne from the other line.

''Its me, Sans. Y/N woke up about 5 minutes ago, she is eating breakfast right now, just letting you know!''

''O - Okay can you send her over she is done eating?''

''Okay, bye!''

I handed Y/N a plate of eggs and toast. ''Thanks Sans!!!'' She said with a warm smile. I made myself a plate and ate with her. I bit into a burnt part of the toast and I gagged. Y/N seemed to think it was funny. I gulped down my orange juice to get rid of the taste.

Me and Y/N finished breakfast and started to walk to Undyne's. We started to talk about different types of pasta, for some reason.

I decided to ask her about Lexi. ''h - Hey Y/N, can I ask you a question?'' She told me to continue. ''Um.... you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but who is Lexi?'' I looked at her. She was dead in her tracks. ''Where did you learn that name?'' She said it with a tone that said 'your dead to me'. I stuttered, she never acts like this. ''While you were sleeping you said 'Lexi' in your sleep.'' She relaxed. ''Its was just a friend I had on the surface, don't worry about it.''

We continued walking, but there was a very uncomfortable silence. ''Lexi was one of my best friends, she went through a lot of the stuff I went through. We would always stick up for each other. We were sisters from different parents, heh. But then I fell down here. Now she probably killed herself because I lied to her face.''

Tears streamed down her face. I ran up to her and hugged her. She sobbed loudly. She repeated,'' I'm sorry I'm sorry'' I ran my fingers through her hair to calm her down. ''There is nothing to be sorry about, its not you're fault. You have been through rough times. Its understandable.'' I released from her embrace, and gave her a comforting smile.

We decided to listen to music. She put on a song called Hey, Soul Sister. By the time the song ended we arrived at Undyne's. I looked at her, and she was blushing a little bit. This caused you to blush. Undyne greeted us and led us to the room with the artificial soul in it. She took the soul out of the container.  

''A-are you sure about this Y-Y/N?'' Undyne asked, clearly nervous. The plan has a high chance of not working, and its a big risk on Monster's freedom and Y/N's life. Y/N looked down and said, ''How about tomorrow, I'm not feeling well right now, sorry Undyne.'' Y/N looked like she killed someone. ''Hey, its okay! Tell me when you are ready, no rush!'' And Undyne went to go put the soul back. Y/N looked pained. She exited the lab.

''Hey Sans?'' She asked me. ''Yeah Y/N?'' I said, trying to sound positive.

''What would you do if Undyne's plan failed, and I died?'' I thought about that for awhile. ''I would cry, and cry until I cant feel feelings anymore.'' I said, which was true. I cant imagine Y/N dead. She smiled and said,'' I'm glad you are my friend Sans, I could not ask for more.'' Ouch. Friend Zoned. I brushed it off and hugged her. She hugged me back and buried her face in my bandana. I giggled at it a little bit, and we started to walk home. We continued to talk about different types of pasta. There was a few puns here and there, but it was a good conversation.
