The Baseball Player and The Softball Player

Chapter 1

Kenzie's POV

I'm flying to California even though we live in Washington our weather has been crappy so they made Nationals in Cali this year thank god!! The whole state rented out a hotel so I get tot stay at a hotel full of baseball and softball players... The best life. I land in about 15 mins. And I'm anxious sadly this is the first year I don't have any parents with me so I'm here playing and not stay with any family actually our whole league isn't even the boys 19 year olds don't have parents. Surprisingly but good we can all go out and party.

We finally landed and my team just got to the hotel we went to our floor and while exiting the elevator there was a team going into their rooms I looked at one boy. And their team and my team stopped and started talking. I was talking to this boy named Kyle and that boy kept looking at me. He's my favorite number too!! Were matching numbers #13. He walked over to me and started talking right before we could say anything. My best friend on my team Maddie yelled everyone lets go to the pool.

I walked into my room and changed into my strapless bikini. It's white with fake paint splatters on top and the bottom is black with pink paint splatters. I grabbed my flip flops and threw my hair up in a messy bun and grabbed my sunglasses and a towel, put my cover on a strapless sundress.

I walked out of my room and grabbed Maddie who is matching but her top is black with pink splatters and bottoms are white with paint splatters we have matching ones where tops and bottoms are white or black but we like it this way better.

We got to the pool and I took my cover off and we ran to the pool while we were running I saw him. Number 13... Right when I saw him he took his shirt off which made me ran/fall into the water no I didn't jump in. Fell I fell into the water. All of a sudden I felt arms around me. Damn I just wanted to stay there.

I was dragged out of the water by the one and only number 13.

"Why did you get me??" I asked smiling up at him as he was smiling looking down at me. His abs not to far from my hands...

"Cuz number 13 I wanna take you to dinner." He said smiling at me.

"We have the same nickname for each other." I said smiling.

"What??" He said.

"I call you number 13 you call me number 13." I smiled.

"13's my favorite number." He said.

"So is mine." I said smiling.

"So what's your real name??" He asked.

"Kenzie how about you??" I asked.

"Jacob. My names Jacob." He said.

"Well Jacob I'd love to go to dinner with you tonight." I said smiling blushing a little, "but after my game." I said.

"CRAP GIRLS GAMES IN AN HOUR AND HALF GET OUT AND UP TO THE ROOM!!" I yelled running back to where my things were and running into the hotel and into my room.

I got on my uniform and went to redo my hair I took it out brushed it out and blow dried it. And ran out into the living room. I grabbed my shoes and bag. Maddie came out and we ran out into the hall where all the other girls and some boys were.

"Jacob??" I asked he was standing agains he wall on his phone. I grabbed my phone out of my bag. And walked up to Jacob.

"Hey Kenzie I'm going to come watch you today that ok??" He asked smiling and grabbing my hand.

I looked down at our hands and back up to him who's smiling and blushing we began walking down to the busses.

"So why you coming to watch??" I asked him.

"Cuz I wanna see my favorite girl." He said which made me smile.

"Who's that??" I asked.

"Well her number is 13 and she has blond hair and blue eyes, she's beautiful." He said making me smile.

"So what position do you play??" I asked.

"I'm pitcher and first basemen what about you??" He asked.

"I'm pitcher and first basemen." I answered making is jaw drop and eyes widen.

We finally got to the field and I grabbed my bag phone and money and walked off the bus. I opened camera got Jacob in the picture with me and took our picture, then I walked up to grab a Gatorade and something to eat before the game.

"I'll have a cool blue Gatorade and an apple please, and Jacob want anything??" I asked him.

"I'll have a lemon Gatorade and pretzel." He said smiling at me. As I was handing her the money he pulled my hand away and handed her the money but I shook my head and kept trying to give him the money.

"Babe you won't ever pay for a thing around me." He said. Making he glare at him.

"My games about to start come on!!" I started running Jacob soon catching up.

"Good luck!!" He said hugging me as I went out to go pitch.

Here goes nothing I pitched...

"STRIKE ONE!!" The ump yelled.

I threw another one.

"STRIKE TWO!!" Everyone cheering.

I took a deep breath.

"STRIKE THREE YOURE OUR BATTER UP!!"

I threw 3 strikes again...

At the 7th inning we were bating I don't bat cuz I'm not suppose to...

"Come one Maddie!! You've got this!!" I yelled she hit the ball!! She made it to 3rd base like always!! Bringing in 2 people. 1:4 us...

"Come one Payton!! You got this girl!!" She smashed the ball and brought Maddie and herself in to finish the game.

After every game we go jump in the pool so we rushed back to the bus.

"Good game ladies!!" I yelled being the captain.

"Let's go get changed and to the pool!!" I yelled.

"Jacob you coming with us to the pool??" I asked leaning against him.

"Hell yea number 13!!" He said.

"Kenz isn't that what you called him number 13??" Maddie asked.

"Yup. He does to cuz we're both number 13." I said smiling.

"Aww cute!!" Maddie said.

"Shut up Maddie!!" I said.

"Why she thinks its cute. So do I." Jacob said.

"Cuz y'all twin." Maddie cuts in.

"Whatever come on let's go swimming it like 100 degrees out!!" I laughed running down the hall with everyone following. I get to my hotel room and change into my string bikini.
