She couldn't believe this, she thought as tears streamed down her face, her sister was in the hospital due to her slitting her wrists in the bathtub, and she desperately needed to reach there as soon as possible she thought as she slammed her foot on the steering wheel. All she could see was rain pouring down her windscreen with loud thunder rummaging her ears. She could barely see anything, forgetting her glasses at home due to the rush didn't help but she didn't care all she knew was she needed to get to the hospital in five minutes. Through her blurry vision, she failed to stop at the red light and continued down the eerie road.Suddenly she saw a car approach sideways and before she could even attempt to swerve she was hit.

1 Year later ~

[Kiara POV]

'Kiara are you okay?' Olivia, my sister, asked ' Yeah I'm fine, sorry I zoned out then' I replied smiling at my beautiful sister. I had always looked up to my sister she was beautiful with her long auburn hair, petite and feminie features. Last year she had been suffering depression as she found out her boyfriend had cheated on her with her best friend, the cliche but most hurtful betrayal. The day of her attempted suicide I killed a woman. It was my fault an innocent life was taken, I was 18 and careless. I was able to get out of the situation unscathed as my parents bribed the police to make the story go away. We found out she was called Samantha Parker and was about to be married and was carrying a 4-month-old baby.My parents offered her family a large sum of money as they were from a lower class, I heard, however, they refused to accept it. I tried to contact them after the accident but I found no information on the women or her family. I have been going to counselling ever since the accident as I get night terrors of the night; the rain, the blood, and the chaos. I have never forgotten her face, it haunts me every single day. I will live my life at the expense of hers because my father was able to pay off the court.

'Come on we need to get packing' Liv stated, we were preparing to move to an apartment in the outskirts of the city, it was more rural and quiet. We both agreed it was time to move out and our parents agreed as long as we stayed together. We are planning to start afresh and be free from all the baggage from our pasts however i don't believe I ever will be. I guess this change is more for Olivia than myself but I will do anything for her.

We finish packing and give our final goodbyes to our parents and maids, our new home is very quaint and small compared to our parent's house however we were looking forward to the simple life and we even are going to attempt having jobs. We enter the car and I send a smile over to Olivia I can see how much this means to her, she smiles back and holds my hand. ''Everything will be better now, don't worry''
