Since turning thirteen, Ron Weasley's nights have been filled with wild vivid dreams. Ranging from enormous spiders to nearly realistic encounters with his peers. These encounters including Persephone.

Last night, for instance, he had a peculiar dream. It was more like brief tidbits than dreams, coming in quick glimpses that didn't make much sense.

He'd dreamt of her stoic eyes gazing at him. Her fingertips skimming his skin and her lips whispering incoherently into his ear. It felt so real that he could feel the tingling sensation of Persephone's fingers trailing across his skin and the warmth of her breath.

He'd awoken before he could fully enjoy it, leaving him restless for the rest of the night. Ron almost believes that it was real when he finally got up in the morning.

Unfortunately, he's swiftly brought back to the fact that it was a dream when she walks past him in the hallway without so much as a glance.

The Great Hall is packed with chatter, when Ron and Harry walk in for breakfast. Ron's eyes immediately glance at the Slytherin table, but finds Persephone absent from her usual seat.

"Come on, mate" Harry says nudging him along,"She isn't here"

Ron begrudgingly follows after Harry. Sitting down and filling his plate with food, Ron waits impatiently, glancing over to the grand entrance every so often.

"You should talk to her", Harry tells him absently. He sees how Ron pines after her. He even says her name in his sleep sometimes.

Ron's eyes swipe to Harry, "Are you mad, Harry? I can't just go up and talk to her. You know what happens!"

Harry did indeed knew what would happen.
Ron has attempted to talk to Persephone a total of 26 times since their first year. He would walk up to her in the hall when she was alone but could only say his name before his nerves would get the better of him and he'd turn away before she could even speak. Ron has introduced himself 19 times. The other 7 times he chickened out completely and walked right past her muttering a soft 'Hi'.

"You drool over Persephone Wonderweiss everyday, Ron"

"No, I don't!" Ron cried indignantly, "And don't say her name so loudly"

Hermione, a girl with bushy hair that Ron and Harry met in their first year takes a seat across from them,"Uh oh, what's going on?"

"Hermione, please tell Ron that he physically drools over Perseph-"

"Don't say her name", Ron exclaims looking around to make sure nobody heard. Not a single person was looking in their direction.

"You definitely drool, Ronald", Hermione tells him.

"I may stare sometimes but I definitely don't drool-"

"She's here", Harry mutters in amusement.

Ron's neck snapped to the side so fast that His friends could have sworn they heard his neck crack.

Persephone was definitely here. She stood by the entrance glancing around before her green eyes found Ron. His heart begins to hammer in his chest. His nerves build up with something akin to fear as he sees her walking in his direction.

"Guys..", Ron whines nervously. He's frozen in his seat.

"Just say hi, Ron" Harry whispers back.

Ronald Weasley had never felt so unprepared for something in his life. He sits anxiously chanting 'Hi, I'm Ron' under his breath. Hermione rolls her eyes.

When Persephone comes to stand next to him, Ron takes a deep breath preparing himself.

"H-hi, I-I'm-"

"Here's your notes back, Hermione", Persephone says pulling parchment from her enchanted robe pocket and handing it over to Hermione,"Thank you, they were very helpful"

Ron shuts his mouth and glued his eyes to his food. He can feel the heat creeping up his neck.

"I'm glad they were useful" Hermione says. Under the table, someone kicks Ron's shin causing him to snap his head back up. Hermione shoots him a strained smile, meant to be inconspicuous but Persephone sees it clearly.

The boy across from Hermione is someone very familiar to her. He's a peculiar person. She met him during their sorting ceremony first year. Yet every year since, he feels the need to reintroduce himself. Several times. Maybe he thought that she had a memory problem.

"I better get going. Thanks again, Hermione.", before she walks off, Persephone looks towards the ginger boy, "Hi, Ron"

With that she walks away, not sparing the trio another glance. She doesn't need to though, because it might send the breathless Weasley into a state of shock.

"Oh bloody hell, I think I'm going to pass out", Ron mutters in a euphoric daze.

Ron is over the moon after this encounter.

She knew his name. Persephone knew him!

Seconds later, Ron is going backwards, falling out of his seat and onto the floor.
