WHAT DO WE WANT?!?!

Chapter 9

Hayden's POV
It was Lauren.
She was sitting on the counter eating grapes. She looked at me and threw a grape at me.

"Go away" she said to me as she ate another grape.
"What are you doing up this late" I asked her.
"Getting away from everyone, but as you're standing here in front of my face I'm guessing that's not working so well for me is it..." she said as she hopped off the counter and put the grapes back in the fridge.

She was about to walk off until I grabbed her arm.
"Lauren-"
"What!" She said as she turned around and a tear rolled down her cheek. I just stood there I don't know why I couldn't speak. I stared at her.
"What do you want?!" She said as she pulled out of my grip. I still couldn't get any words out off my mouth.
"I-I" I literally didn't know how to speak at that moment.
She started backing up slowly. More tears started streaming down her cheek, she ran off to the bathroom.
"Lauren!" I said as I chased her down the hall into the bathroom but she got there first and slammed the door in my face.

Lauren's POV
Hayden was just staring at me. The tears were coming again. I ran into the bathroom. Looked myself in the mirror wiped my tears.

Hayden's POV
She walked out the bathroom five minutes later. I was standing in front of her. She looked at me, then pushed me out of the way.

"Goodnight." She said as she walked past me back to the living room into her sleeping bag.

I got back into my sleeping bag and didn't sleep at all.

*Next morning*

We all pretty much got up at the same time. I looked over at Lauren she looked back at me then turned her head quickly. Out of no where Mackenzie asked me if she could have a word with me. I of course said yeah and we walked in the hall.

"I just don't think we were meant to date..." she said with a serious look on her face.
"You mean, you want to break up."
"We are great at being friends and we are better as friends anyway." She said
"You're right."
"So friends.." she said with a smile on her face and held out her hand.
"Friends." I said as I returned a smile and shook her hand.
We walked back into the living room and everyone was staring.
"What." We said at the same time.
"What was that all about?" Jordyn said.
"We just agreed to be friends." Mackenzie and I said with smiles on our faces.
"Ohhhh!" Everyone said at the same time.

I looked over at Mark and he immediately scooted closer to Lauren and put his arm around her waist and she laid her head on his shoulders. I'm seriously ready to punch him in the face. We all got up and got dressed.
