They had gotten lost. Lucy wanted to take a job with just Natsu. She said it would've been just like the good old days. Erza thought Lucy had gotten tired of her and the rest of the gang, but Mira thought Lucy was finally going to make a move on Natsu. Other than Erza's mumbling, neither of the girls said anything. Lucy stood in front of an intersection of paths as she tried to read the map. Natsu stood behind her, watching a bird hop across the grass.

"Hey, Luce?" He asked her, eyes still on the bird.

"Hmm?"

"Do you think that the flame of a candle tastes like it's scent?" He asked. Lucy had to turn around to face him to answer him.

"I don't know. I feel like this is something you've already done."

"You're right. But it's been years and I forgot how it went." So you don't have to wonder, it does taste like it's scent, or like a burnt, bitter version of it. For better results, Natsu later discovered, use a scent that is supposed to have benefits such as stress relief or energy boosts.

Lucy turned her attention back to her map. She wanted to figure it out by herself but Happy was still up in the air, trying to find a way out from the sky. Natsu mumbled to himself as a snake caught the bird in it's jaw and slithered away.

"Wanna play a game?" He asked. He wasn't really expecting an answer, he would've been fine playing by himself. Not really, he was rarely alone. He didn't know if he could deal with it.

"What game?"

"I Spy."

"Uh. . . Okay," Lucy said as she folded the map up.

"You want to go first?" He asked her.

"Okay. . . . I spy something green." Natsu looked around. Everything was either brown or green.

"Uh, a tree?"

"Yes," Lucy said. "Your turn."

"Kay, I spy something tall."

"Me?"

"Lucy, your the shortest thing here."

"Rude," she said, pretending to be offended.

"Okay, the shortest thing that matters," he corrected himself. "No, it's not you."

"A tree?"

"Yes." He said. He picked up a stick from ground and poked different ant holes.

"Okay, I spy. . . A vertical log."

"A tree."

"Damnit, yes."

"Lucy, what else is a vertical log?"

"You're right, your turn."

"I spy-,"

"Tree," she remarked. Natsu threw the stick back into the woods.

"Yes."

"Okay."

"Tree," Natsu shouted. Lucy groaned.

"I didn't even spy anything!"

"It still counts!"

"No, it doesn't!"

"Yeah it does!" The argument continued on for about five minutes before Natsu's hand lit up and Lucy let it count. Happy was watching up from the sky. He groaned as he tried to remember how many fish Mira would give him for leaving the two alone.
