*Ruby's POV*

*I walked with Khiry to the entrance ceremony and spotted Yang in the crowd of students.*

Yang: Ruby! Over here, I saved you a spot!

*I turned to Khiry to speak.*

Ruby: Oh, hey I gotta go. I'll see you after the ceremony!

Me: No problem, see ya later Ruby!

*I watched him walk off and join the crowd of students around us. I then headed over to Yang and remembered how she ditched me after I got off the shuttle.*

Yang: Hows your first day going little sister?

*I got even more annoyed after she said this to me.*

Ruby: You mean since you ditched me and I got into an argument with the first girl I saw?

*Yang looked surprised after I said this.*

Yang: Well it didn't look like it went all bad, since I saw you come in here with a cute guy next to you. So who is he?

*I blushed after hearing Yang say this and pushed her a little bit to show my annoyance.*

Ruby: He's the guy that saved me from the girl who got angry at me all of a sudden after you left, she started talking about dust or something and she was really loud and bossy and...

Weiss: You!!!

*I jump in surprise into my sisters arms, not knowing she was behind me the whole time.*

Ruby: Oh god its happening again!!

*My POV*

*I had left Ruby to join up with the blond haired girl I saw. I started walking into the crowd of students to find a spot on the wall to lean on. I am glad I found one & lean on it, with my arms crossed. I waited a couple of minutes until I saw professor Ozpin walked on the stage & coughed a bit into the microphone to get the students attention.*

Ozpin: I'll keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft & acquire new skills. & when you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you & all I see is wasted energy in need of purpose, direction.

*I then look at my hand & realize I don't have enough training for my semblance. I continue focusing on him.*

Ozpin: You assume knowledge will free you of this but your time at the school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.

*Ozpin step away from the microphone & another blond haired woman goes by the name Glynda Goodwitch appeared & started talking.*

Glynda: You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed.

Me(head): Quite a speech from the headmaster himself. But I will say one time. He is right about wasted energy. I didn't get a chance to train my semblance. Tonight I'm going to train.

*I have gotten changed into my pjs. I decided to train my semblance. Ever since I discovered I have the ability to manipulate ice, Not only I can create iceballs, ice armor, & summon ice weapons, but also enhances my or other weapons & stats. The disadvantages is that it is limited at best, it doesn't boost my physical attacks & any stat I boost on a person results into lowering the same stat for me. I was in the middle of training until someone spoke up.*
