The night ended with Markus taking Montey to her apartment above the coffee shop where she met the owner who was a nice, young, very gay man named Mario. He was so happy to see Montey is was like fresh air for Montey to meet him. After a few exchanged words between Mario and Markus about Montey's "employment" under Markus, Mario finally was able to give the tour of the place.

"You are going to love this apartment I just know it." Mario says as they walked up a tight staircase to a lonely and very dusty apartment.

It was a studio, and it was furnished with furniture that looked like it hadn't been touched it many years. But either way it all matched and it was very nice. The walls were made of stone and there were cracks here and there but it didn't bother Montey much at all.

"It needs cleaned up a bit, but it is for you Montey." Mario says squeezing montey's shoulder as a soft welcome. Montey loved it even if it was a bit run down. It had character and spoke to her.

"It's perfect Mario thank you." Montey says and they hugged and Mario left her with a key to the shop and the front door to the apartment.

"If you ever need anything I live across the street in the top apartment okay. And you can start working tomorrow how does that sound?" Mario says and took his leave back to his home. With that Markus left as well making sure he had Montey's number so they would be in contact.

Finally Montey was alone, she laid back on the bed that poofed out a bit of dust but all the same it was a bed. She would have to wait to call her mom to tell her she made it, the time difference was awful now. But to get used to it she slept.

By morning Mario woke her up and she got ready testing out the new things in her place. Shower, food, clean clothes. She felt like a human again. After yesterday Montey was ready to have a normal day, serving coffee and staying busy. And away from Markus she hoped. She had enough of him to last her for a life time. Montey dashed down stairs to the Coffee shop and helped Mario by cleaning and stocking.

The day started to go on and Montey was learning so much. Mario was teaching her coffee lingo in Italian and how to say certain things and what certain phrases meant. Montey was starting to finally feel normal thanks to Mario and this job.  As the day was winding down. Montey started to sweep the outside area in front of the shop near the outdoor tables.

A gust of wind made her look up and that was when she saw.

Like the photographs finally came to life the girl that she felt like she knew so much about but also nothing at all was right there. Sitting at a table drinking a hot cuppa and reading a book. Montey almost forgot to breathe and let out a long exhale. It was Vyles sitting right there but a few feet from her. The girl Markus raised, the girl in the picture who looked unhappy. The girl who everyone said was the light of their life but who had moved out and disappeared was sitting right here. Montey looked around to see if anyone caught her staring, but she couldn't help it. It was like staring at a ghost.

At this point Montey was stuck and she wasn't sure what to do. Does she introduce herself or leave Vyles be? Does she call Markus or do what Rosa said and leave Vyles alone? Conflict rose inside Montey like an intense battle. She owed Markus a great deal, and she was being paid to hang out with Vyles. But Vyles also deserved her privacy, and Montey didn't want to be rude. Montey started to get angry with herself yelling at her feet in her head telling them to just walk away but she couldn't.

"Hello?" a soft voice rang out and Montey looked up frazzled and sweaty and looked at where the voice came from. Vyles was sitting there staring right at her. Montey's face blazed red. This was definitely Vyles. The eyes, you couldn't deny it. The largest hazel eyes Montey had ever seen. Her hair was different now tho from the photographs. Still shaved short but the longer bits were a light purple, almost silvery. And she had matured a little in her face, which meant the photo Markus had was certainly old. Vyles was wearing a black button up shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans, the knees ripped out just slightly. She wore black combat boots, and her accessories still the same, several rings and necklaces. Montey found her captivating. Everyone in Italy she had seen so far was so light, covered in white and tan clothing that was far too formal for their casual days. But Vyles was like the night and the moon and it sent shivers down Montey's spine. Like a cold breathe against the back of her neck. Montey couldn't get a cartain idea out of her head. that Vyles was the moon and the night sky.

"You must be Mario's new help?" Vyles spoke, her accent was so beautiful, words rolled of her tongue like silk. She folded her book closed and smiled a beautiful whimsy smile to Montey. "Why don't you come sit with me. The ground can wait to be swept" Vyles says and points to the open seat across from her. Montey gripped nervously at the broom and couldn't control herself. So she nodded quietly and slowly made her way to the open chair and sat down.

This feeling, Montey had never felt it before. She was terrified. She looked up at the girl in front of her. The girl looked back and smiled.

"My name is Vyles."
