*Petronilla's POV*

I finished re-braiding my hair into two Dutch braids which met at the back of my head and went into a braided bun. Braids were my specialty, I could do any braid on myself or someone else. I knelt down on the floor picking up a shard of broken mirror. "*sigh* I'm not cut out to be a servant." I looked back at the door. 'I wonder if he is still standing there. I made my way over to the door, the heels I was given tap across the floor. I have never worn heels before so this was a first, I made my way over to the door but apparently the shoes had another idea. I landed face first into the door sending it flying open and me with it. "Oh my what happened here?" The servant from earlier who I presumed was Claude knelt down and picked me up by the arms. "I'm sorry sir I have never worn heels before." I looked down at the shoes. I took mg feet out of them and picked them up. "Call me Claude. Also you must wear shoes for your own safety. And for hygenic reasons." He looked at me with a face of displeasure. "Can you take me to Alois. I will discuss this with him." Claude nodding bluntly and started walking down the long corridor. He didn't speak much at all so it was a quite journey to the study in which Alois was in.

As we arrived at the room Claude knocked on the large door. "Come in" with that command Claude opened the door and lightly pushed me into the room. "Oh hello Petal" he looked up from some papers to me with a small smile. "I see you are ready to be assigned a job." I walked over to his desk and placed the heels in front of him. "I request some flats at least. I cannot work in heels." He looked at the shoes slightly disgusted and then up to me." Fine but I need to know more about you. Sit down and answer any questions I ask." I sat down in a large chair in front of his desk and nodded. "Right first question what is your full name and date of birth?" I looked at his face as he spoke. His skin was quite clear except for a few freckles across his nose and cheeks. "Uhm well my name is Petronilla Elizabeth Mundy. However like I said you can call be Nil-" "Petal I'm going to call you Petal. I prefer that, Nilla just sounds like Vanilla." He rubbed his hands together and jestered me to carry on in which I did. "I was born November 5th 1875." He looked at me but with a more joyful face. His sky blue eyes had a glimmer to them which made him seem rather happy. His pale lips spread in a wide mouthed smile across his face from ear to ear." Your birthday is the same as mine! We're practically twins!" He jumped up from his chair and looked at me. "So where was you born?" I can't tell him the truth or he'd kill me. So now I  have to make a whole new background. "Uhm well I was born in a little town outside of London. I moved into London though when I was young." He nodded and sat back down." Now tell me about your family." The one thing I didn't know." I never knew my father but my mother was from a famous blood line. There was rumours that my father was a servant of a noble man that my mother had a affair with. However I do not know the truth. My mother died when I was an infant, she was hit by a carriage." He nodded at me to carry on, "I do not have any siblings or relatives that I know of. I was raised by an elderly lady who was a close friend of my mother's." Alois nodded and wrote something down on a piece of paper. "So tell me about you, yourself. What do you like?" I looked at his eyes still thinking about my mother, Georgina had never told me of what happened to her. Was she a victim of a hunt? Or is she still out there. "Well I like gardening, and looking after animals. Cooking is a hobby too. Most favourite of all though would be-" I cut myself off. I can't tell him I like practicing magic and making potions." Would be What?" I looked at him wide eyed trying to think of something that I was good at. "Would be playing instruments." That was a lie. I knew how to play the flute and violin but I hadn't for years. "Oh so you can play? What can you play?" "The flute and violin. I haven't in a long time though." He nodded at me and clicked his knuckles. How disgusting. "Petronilla what are you?" my eyes widened as I looked at him. "Wha..what do yo...you mean?" He looked at me with a face like Claude's. Dull. I looked behind myself to see Claude standing behind me. When did he enter? "It is so obvious. Your not human, seriously. I'm not stupid Petronilla." He stood up and looked down on me. I looked down at my hands which were laying on my lap. "I can explain Alo-"  He  pounded his fist on the table. I jumped in my chair letting out a little squeal at the sound. "You will call me Your Highness from now on as I am your master!" He yelled at me. I sat there looking at my lap when I single tear fell down my face. "Claude remove her from here. Make sure she is assigned something to do." Claude came up to me and pulled me up by my left arm. I winced in pain as he pulled my arm which stretched the muscle along my side causing the wound from when I tripped over, to open up and start bleeding again. Claude dragged me out of  the room and outside into the garden. I sat on the floor of the garden as Claude walked off, all alone.
