After getting what we needed for the shop, me and Anti decided to go get something to drink. We pulled up outside an old fashioned café. As we walked through the door we were hit with the sweet smell of coffee and freshly made buns.

"How can I help you today?"

The waitress asked sweetly from behind the register. She had long red hair which was tied neatly into a plat which rested down her spine.

"Can I have a hot chocolate with marshmallows and a cup of tea please?"
"Sure thing that'll be $8.95, please"

I handed her the money and went over to the booth Anti had selected. the seats were wooden with a red and green tartan covers. The table was a dark chocolate polished wood which matched the wooden panel walls.

"So? What's up?

Anti looked at me calmly whilst taking a sip of his tea. I smiled sweetly, however, it was soon lost to worry and so did Anti's calm demeanour.

"Well Dark..."
"He hasn't hurt you or anything has he?"
"No! No! nothing like that, it's just, he hasn't been acting himself lately. At first, I thought he was just unwell or stressed but you should have seen him this morning"
"Why? What happened?"

Anti took another sip of his tea and I just sturd the warm liquid with my spoon. The marshmallows melting and sinking as I did so.

"Well his eyes were really red and watery and his skin was blotchy and looked less pale than usual. I mean I don't know if that's good or bad but it certainly isn't normal!"
"I agree"

We both took a sip from our warm drinks, waiting for the other to speak.

"So, did you mention this to him?"
"Yes and when I did I told him to go to the bathroom and wash out his eyes then moments later I hear a loud clatter"

Anti looked at me puzzled.

"Do you know what it was?"
"No, he wouldn't tell me"

We had both nearly finished our drinks. By this point, the marshmallows had completely melted leaving a delicious, sweet, creamy sensation to the drink.

"And there's something else..."
"What is it?"
"I think he's been drinking"
"I don't understand?"
"For the past few days I've been finding fresh whisky glasses in the sink every morning and this morning his breath stunk of it!"
"Really?"
"Yeah, and when I asked him about it he got really defensive. Honestly Anti I'm scared, you should have heard the sound of his voice it was like nothing I've ever heard before!"
"That really doesn't sound good! How long has he been acting like this?"
"Since Saturday, he was fine in the morning but when I came back from work he just seemed different"
"You mean when he supposedly hit his head?"
"What do you mean?"
"Ya know what it doesn't matter, come on let's go"

We finished our drinks and took the tray back to the counter. As we walked back towards the car, Anti grabbed my shoulder and turned me around to face him.

"Look (Y/N), I know Dark isn't acting himself but just remember he loves you and nothing's going to change that. However, if he starts scaring you or making you feel uncomfortable just come around or give me a ring"
"Thanks, Anti"

We hugged each other tightly before jumping back in the car. We spent the rest of the ride talking about nonsense until we arrived back at the complex.
