All the girls walked closely together, a couple of them still crying. The hallway behind the doors wasn't at all less frightening to the children. The hallway was still just a bridge with emptiness below. The ambiance was still the same; fog, chains and darkness. I wish I could light up the lights for the scared children, but I wasn't happy. I never was. This place was my life and it will always be, I just have to accept it. I have to bare all the tall walls and empty spaces for as long as I live. I don't even know how I am alive or able to think or move everything. It's really weird.

Once Madam Masked turned left, she came to another large set of doors. She pushed them open and walked in without hesitation, the young girls quickly running on her heels. Behind the large set of doors was a very long hallway, at least a hundred and fifty feet long. The hallway forked into several smaller hallways that each had a door on every wall. This was the first room that was actually a hallway without a forty foot drop. Madam Masked walked as far into the hallway so all the girls could fit. When everyone was inside, I automatically closed the doors as quietly as I could, so the children wouldn't be even more frightened.

"Here are all of your rooms. There are restrooms at the end of each hallway. I will read out your names along with a number and you will find your room. There are four beds in each room so you will be assigned with three other pupils, unless there are several ladies in your room already." Madam Masked said. She took out a different and newer scroll than the one before, and read names along with a number on it.

". . . Cadence, number fourteen... Anna, number three... Lily, number twenty one..." And she continued. As she read the names, the children who got called out went looking for their number. They turned left or right and opened the doors. I saw when some of the children entered, they walked to one of the beds and lay down crying. It was really sad to watch.

". . . Quinn, number nine... Sally, number sixteen... Mary, number thirty three..."

More children walked to find their door.

". . . Mimi, number nine... Danielle, number three... Chelsea, number thirty two..."

Madam Masked called out all the names for about ten minutes till there were only three girls left.

". . . Nina, number fifty eight... Jenny, number nine... And lastly we have Alice, number nine." Madam Masked rolled up the scroll and walked out through the doors, not even noticing the girl named Alice just standing motionless in the middle of the corridor. Another girl was about to walk into number nine, when she noticed the small child.

"Umm... What's your name?" She squeaked quietly. The girl didn't move. She was just standing staring into the floor, her shoulder-length brown hair covering the sides of her face. The other girl walked closer.

"You... Uhm, you can tell me... Are you Nina?" She asked while coming closer to the little girl. The brown haired child shook her head.

"So... Uh, you're Alice?"

The little girl nodded and looked up slightly, her dark eyes shining in the little light I could produce.

"Oh... okay. Well... I'm Jenny." She said. Jenny had short dirty-blonde bob haircut that framed her face in a messy, but cute way.

Alice still remained quiet.

"Do... Do you not know which room you're staying in?" She asked carefully. Alice shook her head and a tear ran down her round face. She very quickly wiped it off.
