Recap

“Well I guess the best way to tell y’all why I’ve been gone and why I smell different is to show you.” I pulled my hair back away from my shoulder. Adain’s mark was now visible. The tattoo of his paw went into my leopard tattoo. The boys jumped up and snarled at Adain. Taylor was yelling at Adain, Cody was glaring, Kayleb was shaking, and James was already sprouting hair, he was shaking and his eyes were a coal black color. James started to take a step toward Adain and that’s when I lost it.

“ENOUGH!” I yelled. I could feel my tattoo glowing and I knew my eyes were a stormy grey color. I was so pissed that I shifted and crouched in front of Adain. I growled at James and swiped my paw at him in warning. I was so pissed that Shannah was able to take over.

“MINE!!” Shannah hissed. Taylor’s eyes were wide and the boys were shocked. James looked hurt. Shannah growled one more time before she let me have control. I closed my eyes and calmed myself down enough so I could shift back. I was still pissed but I needed to be able to talk.

“James, go sit your ass down!” I growled at him when he tried to come near me.

Everyone sat down fast. Adain grabbed my hand and started to rub soothing circles on the back of my hand. I took a deep breath and then said.

“Yes Adain and I mated. Get over it. He is my mate. I will not tolerate any of you mistreating him. Treat him like you would me or lose me. Your choice. Before I tell you the reason why I was gone so long I have to know that you will not betray me. Each of you must take a blood oath or leave. I will not think any less of you if you decide to leave.” I looked at each of my friends and my heart broke at the thought of any of them walking out the door. James stood and I thought he was going to leave, but he walked straight up to me and took his fingernail and sliced open his palm. I sliced open my palm and grasped his hand. He looked me in the eye and said

“I pledge my service, my life, and my soul to you princess Violette daughter of the Queen Lillie and King Phillip. I pledge to be faithful, to put your needs and life before my own, and to protect you till my last breath. If my intentions should ever be at your expense let my soul die instantly. I pledge myself to you Violette.” He bowed his head and then let go of my hand. James sat back down and then Cody walked up to me. He cut his palm just like James had. I griped his hand and he said.

“I pledge my service, my life, and my soul to you, Princess Violette daughter of Queen Lillie and King Phillip. I pledge to be faithful, to put your needs and life before my own, and to protect you till my last breath. If my intentions should ever be at your expense let my soul die instantly. I pledge myself to you Violette.” Cody was already standing there with his palm sliced open.

“I pledge my service, my life, and my soul to you Princess Violette, daughter of Queen Lillie and King Phillip. I pledge to be faithful, to put your needs and life before my own, and to protect you till my last breath. If my intentions should ever be at your expense let my soul die instantly.” Then Taylor was standing there gripping my hand.

“I pledge my service, my life, and my soul to you Princess Violette, daughter of Queen Lillie and King Phillip. I pledge to be faithful, to put your needs and life before my own, and to protect you till my last breath. If my intentions should ever be at your expense let my soul die instantly. I pledge myself to you Violette.” When Taylor walked away Adain stepped in front of me and held out his bleeding palm. I stared at it. I knew that everyone else needed to pledge themselves to me, but I never thought about Adain pledging himself to me. I smiled at him as I gripped his hand.
