Everythings Not What It Seems Part 7

Recap

“If you thought today was bad, I dare you to do something to me right now.” I’m usually a bubbly happy person, but I just didn’t want to deal with them right now. I heard them gulp and them my door was shut and I was left in silence. I got up off my bed and changed into some pajamas and laid back down. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out.

I was in a lush green meadow; trees surrounded the meadow like warriors. I felt so safe in the meadow protected by the strong trees. As I was looking around I noticed I was not alone. A beautiful woman stood in the center of the meadow. She stood tall and strong, she was wearing a golden dress that seemed to be made out of sunlight.  As soon as she realized I saw her, she beckoned me to come closer.

“Violette dear it is so good to see you!!”  The gorgeous woman said with a smile on her face. She opened her arms and hugged me.

“Who are you?” I asked confused on how she knew me. I was pretty sure I would remember meeting someone so beautiful. She laughed and said

“I am your mother Lilly, Queen of the fairies.” I looked at her strange. She couldn’t be my mother, my mother….now that I think about it I looked more like this woman than I did my mom. My mom was a single parent and did the best she could but she was always gone with her work. She was lawyer for the powerful people.  Looking back at my childhood, I realized that I had always known she was not my biological mother. That didn’t mean that she wasn’t still my mom, it meant that I now had two moms.

“Why are just now coming to me? Why did you give me away?----Wait did you say queen of the fairies?”

“Yes dear, I am the queen of the fairies and that is the answer to both of your questions. I gave you up because you were not safe in my world or your fathers. The only way to keep you safe was to hide you in the human world. I didn’t want to but I had to, I had to keep you safe. This is not the first time I have seen you. Think; remember I’ve been coming to you since you were little. But then you got older and I had to stop, you couldn’t ask questions at least you couldn’t then.” As much as I didn’t want to believe her I knew she was right. I had been seeing her in my dreams since I was little. It was when I started to tell my mom about the dreams that she stopped coming.

“I am coming to you now because your world is about to change. You are about to change. You are the daughter of the Queen of fairies and the King of the Soul Shifters. You are a whole new breed. You will be able to do magic and control the elements. You will also shift into your soul animal and when you do, you find out which element is your strongest. You will be able to control all of them but one will be much stronger than the others. You my dear daughter must tell no one what you are. Not until the time is right.  Trust in yourself and your mate. Trust your friends and be strong. Things will not always make sense but have faith and look inside you will know what to do. I love you. Be brave my dear daughter. Trust in yourself and you will know what to do.” Her voice started to fade and so did she. I tried to hold on and tell her not to go. I had so many questions, questions that I needed answers to but that didn’t matter, our time was up and she was gone. I woke with a start and looked around my room; the sun was just starting to rise. I was so confused…that was when I got the feeling that I needed to go out into the woods outside my house. I had barely made it passed the tree line when the pain hit.

It was terrible the pain started at the bottom of my spine and went up and throughout my body. I was paralyzed on the ground in pain. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t see, time seemed to stand still. All I could concentrate on was breathing in and out. My body was covered in sweat and tears. It hurt so much…then as sudden as it came the pain left me feeling achy and out of breath like I had just ran a marathon. I went to get up when I fell on my face. I went to put my hands in front of me to help me get up when I saw paws instead.  I blinked thinking they would go away when I heard Lily’s voice in my head saying “you are the daughter of the Queen of fairies and the King of the soul shifters.” I had turned into something but I wasn’t sure what.
