There are different kinds of dark
There are kinds that leave their mark
Kinds that say you are a beautiful thing
Kinds that make you want to sing
I have seen them all
For I too am dark and they will therefore heed my call
Once I was light
I despised the night
But the darkness was always there for me
When even the light would let me be
And as I stared at the darkness
It began to stare back
