Light and dark

Once
Twice
Thrice
I will look into your eyes
But not a fourth time
Because I don't want you to see the light in my eyes as it tentatively shines
What if you don't want me to be light?
What if you want me to be like you, filled with night?
Though, very soon
I too, will be a child of the moon
For the light shines all to bright
And now I no longer want it in my sight
Will you welcome me into the dark?
Or is even my weak light to stark?
