Jack's pov~

Today's the day... I can feel it. Today's the day they'll come barging into my families house and take us away. My parents haven't said anything about it but the people on the news have been talking about all the details.

I lean back onto the headboard of my semi comfortable bed and let out a long sigh. I glide my hand roughly against my forehead in frustration.

I bounce off the center of the bed and land my feet harshly on the cream carpeted flooring. I unplug my phone from the charger on the wall, holding the green case tightly in my palm.

I press the on button and see that the only message I have is from my mom saying the usual 'Have a great day at school sweetie! I love you!' I smile lightly as I think that this will be the last time we'll ever text eachother. I text back a quick 'I love you too' hoping she sees it soon.

I turn off my phone and waddle over to my dresser, grabbing out my favorite black skinny jeans, blue sweatshirt and black and grey beanie.

As I finish getting dressed I glance at myself in the mirror smiling as I really liked this outfit... It may be the last proper outfit I'll ever wear...

I tense up as I hear a banging coming from downstairs. I slowly look towards my closed and unlocked door. I charge towards the lock and quickly switch it the other way. I violently look around for a spot to hide and decide the only good place would be behind my dresser.

I grab the corners of the wood and move it aside so that I can fit behind it. I hear another bang but louder and rush to try and get into my spot properly.

I bite my lip as I am just slim enough to fit behind the enclosed space. Another loud bang rings out and the sound of slamming footsteps ring out in my ears.

I hold my breath as my doorknob starts to shake from whoever it is trying to open and unlock the door.

There's several bangs and from the sounds of it the door came crashing down. I shrink down in fear and try my best not to whimper.

A few seconds pass and just as I think they had left I felt a strong hand grip harshly onto my arm. I yelp in fear and pain as the person is quick to cover my mouth with a rag.

I hold my breath as I've heard about this stuff. It's called chloroform. It makes you fall asleep and fast... I tried holding my breath for longer but my body was screaming for air. I hated it but I had to breath in.

I felt drowsiness sweep over me as my eyelids slowly fluttered closed and my whole world flipped to black...
