I sit in Jack's cabin with him. He's studying his compass, obviously not pleased with what he was seeing.
"You can use my compass if it'll make any difference." I suggest.
"The compass isn't the issue." he reaches for the bottle of rum that sits on his desk and goes to take a swig, but it was empty. "Why is the rum always gone?" he sighs and stands up; staggering as he does.
I raise an eyebrow at him. "That's why." I point out.
"I'm going down to the hatch. Go ahead and get some rest. You've earned it."
I nod and stand up walking past him as he carefully makes his way to the door. I walk over to a bookshelf across from Jack's desk. The bookshelf was more of a door than anything. A door to a secret room to be exact. I reach for a book and pull on it to release the latch that held the door closed and and open it. I step into the room and make sure to pull the door closed with me.
See this room was built to store treasure and such things. But Jack being as protective as he was, stuck a bed in here and made it my room because it would have been inappropriate to sleep with the crew, and I couldn't sleep in the same room as him because well... We go to Tortuga quite frequently and he's made a habit of bringing Scarlet and Giselle on board, and despite the fact that you can hear everything, it's the only other room on board.
I take in the view of my bedroom. it wasn't a large, but big enough to fit a king size bed. A bed much too large for just me and it was quite frankly, very lonely. Occasionally, while Jack was in that Turkish prison; I would sneak Sebastian in here and he would sleep with me. I wasn't quite sure how I would do that now that Jack was back, but I didn't want to sleep alone.
I sigh. I wish I didn't have to hide Sebastian from Jack. I've never been very good at keeping secrets and I'm afraid Jack will find out and he'll probably throw Sebastian overboard or shoot him on sight.
Of course Jack is extremely drunk tonight. I could get Sebastian to come in even if for an hour, and if Jack catches us... We could knock him out and when he wakes up; we can tell him he imagined it...
I stand up with a sigh. and walk back over to the door and open it. I glance around the cabin; Jack hadn't returned yet. I exit the cabin and walk down to go where the crew sleeps. I look around for Sebastian but don't spot him, so I kick Ragetti out of his hammock; causing him to fall to the floor and wake up.
"Where's Mr. Locke?" I question.
"Crow's nest. He's on lookout tonight." he mumbles half asleep then rolls over and starts sucking his thumb. Men were giant babies.
I walk back up to the deck and start climbing up to where Sebastian was.
"Well hello there." I say in a flirty tone with a smirk to get his attention.
He looks up, "What are you doing up here?" He asks as he helps me into the crow's nest with him.
"I was bored and I thought that you could entertain me," I say with a hinting tone. "Maybe we could do that thing we did the last time we were in Tortuga?" I suggest as I crouch down in front of him.
He takes a step back, "Pearl, I'm on lookout duty. As much as I would love to spend time with you, I have to do my job. Jack hates me enough as it is."
"He's drunk tonight though." I explain with a pout.
He crouches down so he's the same height as me and places a kiss on my forehead. "The next time we're in Tortuga." he suggests, and I sigh and agree. "I love you Pearl, but we can't risk this."
