* A week Later *

Grayson POV

'Yes Savannah Dolan?, Can you please give me an address? No you don't understand... But listen... Call yourself a support team..ugh' I hung up. Tenth time lucky and still no luck.

We are back in New Jersey and we are packing up our house. It was finally good to clear away mums things and sell the house for good. Memories in this house is great but now it's time for another family to enjoy it as much as we did.

Packing up everything was hard. Luckily Cameron's room was pretty much packed up from when she left for college so that's one less room to tidy.

We had a two days left before we left New Jersey for good. We went to our favourite pizzeria and as I was ordering when my phone buzzed.
I slipped it out of my jeans and looked at the name.

Summer.

Summer: hey cutie, remember me, wanna hang for a bit

It was Summer who messaged me and asked to meet up.

I completely forgot about her with everything that went on.

I stuffed my phone in my pocket and reached out to collect my order - pineapple pizza.

Ethan was already at a table, taking his off the tray. Same order as me. Of course.

'You'll never never guess who's just texted me' I teased as I pulled out the chair opposite him and sat down.

'Your hairdresser?' He teased back.

'Noooo. Summer? You know that hot girl I told you I met at the park?' I spoke taking a bite out of my pizza.

He raises his eyebrows. 'What does she want? Does she want you to help her look for her guide dog?' He chuckled.

'Haha. Your so funny, no actually she want to meet me' I didn't fall for his jokes.

'When?' Ethan asked.

'I don't know, I was going to suggest after we have eaten that I meet her'

'But we have so much more packing to do and the truck comes tomorrow, plus you can't go falling for a girl when your leaving this place for good tomorrow evening. I can't deal with looking after a lovesick Grayson as well as everything else' he smirked.

I smiled sarcastically.

'It's just to hang out, no wedding bells will ring tomorrow' I rolled my eyes.

'So your going to leave me to do all the packing' Ethan huffed.

'Yes' I spoke.

'Also whilst your at it, try ringing CPS again and see if you have any luck trying to find Savannah. I have seriously have none and the receptionist and I are on first name basis.' I added.

'They aren't going to tell us, they think we abuse her'

I looked down, thinking how that was true.

Ethan stared at me then said 'but I'll give it a go' and gave me a light smile.

I looked up and repeated the smile.

After we had finish lunch.. Ethan drove me to the park and dropped me off before heading home to continue the packing.

I sat on the same bench we first spoke on with two frappe I bought since she bought the first ones.

She came along in a rush, forcing her bag on her shoulder and coat swung over her arm. Her hair over her face and she had glasses on. Which I didn't remember.

'Hiii sorry I'm late' she hugged me, taking off her glasses and shoving them in her bag without folding them.

'I didn't know you wear glasses?' I questioned.

'Yeah I only wear them when I'm on jobs'

'What's your job?'

'Enough about me, how have you been?'  She swiftly changed the subject.

'Good thanks. A lot had been going on to be quite honest.'

We had been chatting about our pasts and funny things we did as children for about an hour,  it was nice to finally have a little more normal in my life.

She started talking about Savannah and how she was.

I couldn't lie but at the same time I didn't want to spill my life to a girl I just met.

'She's currently not living with us at the moment' I awkwardly mumbled.

'Oh god, I'm sorry, what happened?'

'Long story short, the authorities think me and my brother are abusing her,'

'I just wanna kill that woman who did this.. you know what I wouldn't kill but I would damage her' I mumbled furiously.

Summer looked mad.

'Sorry I just get so angry' I added,

I noticed her expression and gave a confused one back.

She noticed and adjusted her face to a smile, lightly sipping on her drink

'I just think that maybe the woman who has her, has intention to have her, or maybe she's lonely.'

'Then why doesn't she buy a pet.. Savannah belongs with us.'

'Wait, are you defending her' I questioned in realisation.

'I'm not' she spat.
She looked at her phone and suddenly stood up..

'Oh god, I'm late, I'm sorry grayson, this has been lovely but I really must go'

'Really? Okay.' I replied watching her rush to grab her bag from underneath the table and scurry off. She couldn't of gone any faster. I watched her in the distance take the unfolded glasses from her back and reapply them to her face.

I wonder what her job is?

Ethan POV

Whilst Grayson is out swanning round with girls. I've got to go home and continue packing up this whole house.

I walked into my room where my footsteps echoed it was that empty, I picked up 1 box out of 2 and lifted it up
Something fell out of the box.

My shirt that was worn on the day of my mums funeral, I picked it up and studied it.

This was the shirt I last saw my mothers face in. I stroked it and noticed the bump by the chest I looked in the pocked and inside was Savannah pacifier.

How the biggest stress of that day was to not let her have it. Now I would kill to give it to her.

I just pray to god she's ok.

Just for you. Another update. Hope you like it.

Keep smiling

Lyndsay
