"Hi Amaya. What do you want?" Chris said, after his phone starting ringing.

My head snapped to him and I put my ear close to the phone to try and hear what May was saying, but he pushed my head away.

"We'll be home in a few minutes my dear." He smiled at that, most likely laughing at her hyperness.

"And what's that?"

"FISH ARE FRIENDS NOT FOOD!!!!" I heard from the other end of the telephone.

Chris put the phone down and just stared at the road.

"I play for a rock band, but SHE is the reason I'm going deaf."

"Please you love her." I laughed.

"True. True." For some reason him saying that made me really sad, but I just pushed the feeling away and focused on the fact that I was going to see my best friends.

"Oh, by the way, Amaya said that Allie left 'cause Ryan pissed her off." Chris said, changing the song.

"Only Ryan." I muttered, shaking my head and staring out at the trees.

We passed the "Welcome to Scranton" sign and I started humming The Office theme song.

"Wow." Chris said, as we turned down the road.

When (after what seemed like 2 hours) we pulled into a driveway and the minute I stepped out of the car, I was stuck in a group hug.

"I missed you guys too, but I would really like to breathe right now." I gasped, and they let go.

I looked at all of them, and nothing had really changed much, except that the tattoos and piercing had increased...and Balz had a mohawk.

"Dude, nice hair." I said, ruffling it.

"Hey!" He scolded, slapping my hand away and fixing his hair.

"Katie, you know we're not letting you stay in a hotel, so you're staying here at Ricky and Amaya's place." Chris said, grabbing one of my bags and dragging it inside.

"You sure?" I asked, walking in with my carry-on.

"Of course."  Ricky said, as Chris opened the door to their guest room, well, I guess it was my room now.

I had crimson walls and black designs around the borders and the ceiling was black with white splatters.

"Woah... this room is amazing."

"Yeah. It's yours for now," He put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into a side hug, "Unpack if you want, or you can come and chill. Whatever you want. We're going out to eat at around 7."

"Okay." I said, as he closed the door and walked out.

I took out my clothes and laid the ones I would need to hang on my bed and put underwear, bras, socks, and PJs in the black wooden chest that sat at the end of the bed. I put my alarm clock on the bedside table and plugged it in. I also plugged in my phone and started charging it. After all of that, I walked out into the living room, seeing Amaya talking to someone on someone's phone (most likely   Balz's). Angelo was sitting on the couch with Balz on his left, waiting for Amaya to get off the phone. Chris was looking over a paper and Ricky was looking slightly anxious and kept fidgeting and looking at Chris as he was reading. Ryan was on his phone, playing some sort of game. Chris had told me that Devin and Kylie (his girlfriend) were going to meet us at the restaurant.

I walked over and sat next to Angelo on the couch, where he was absent-mindedly drumming a beat  on his knees.

"Hey." I said, laying my head on his shoulder.

"Hey Katie." Ange said tiredly.

"You alright?" I asked, sitting up and turning to look at him.

"Yeah, I just have a headache, and as much as Amaya amuses me, she is really loud and that isn't helping my head." He said, putting his head in his hands.

"Hey, Devin and Kylie are at Outback. Let's head out." Ryan said, standing up.

"Okay. Allie's coming by the way. She's gonna ignore Ryan, but she'll be there." May said, giving the phone back to Balz.

"Yay! I missed her." I said walking over to May.

"Come on!" Chris said, trying to usher us out the door.

"Since when have you worried about being on time?" I asked, walking out and hooking my arm around Amaya's.
