Archie pushed me to the side as he was running down the stairs. He always had to beat me didn't he? I followed him into the kitchen. "Want some juice?" "Please." I told him and Archie went to open the kitchen but closed it. I nudged Archie and pointed to Dad hoping he would speak first. "Dad? You okay?" He asked as Dad looked out the window. "I thought I knew this town. I bet everything on it. If I could catch bait." He took a death breath. "How are you two holding up?" He asked and I looked at Archie. "I mean, I'm dealing. But for Jughead and for Betty and Veronica, Dad it's not over. They're still in it. Big time." "We're all still in it." Dad said pointing some sense into this conversation. "We're up to our necks."
"I'll be right back." I said to Reggie as he sat down with his football mates at a table for lunch. I walked over to Archie's table and sat down. "So what did Mayor McCoy want from you?" "She wants me to perform at the Jubilee with the PussyCats. She called me a hero." Archie picked at his salad. "Shouldn't you be sitting with Reggie anyways?" "Look Archie. I came over here because I care about you." I told him. "Anyways, you're part of the football team, some people would question why you're sitting here." I said to him and he sighed. Betty said something about publishing an article about town and the dug dealing in the Blue and Gold and the registry. "Speaking of secrets." Veronica stood up. "Archie and I wanted to tell you-" I wish you could see the fear on my brothers face right about now. "We've kissed a couple of times." He said like it was no big deal. It is no big deal. "It's okay V. I appreciate you being honest with me. I'm with Jughead now. If you guys wanna be together, I'm happy for you." "Thanks B." "Thanks Betty." "See why can't you be like that?" I whispered hoping no one heard me. "His still not accepting the fact that you and Reginald are dating?" Kevin asked putting a grape in his mouth. I shook my head. I decided to get up and leave the table and join Reggie's table. "What's going on with the losers over there?" "Reggie. I told you I don't like it when you talk about my friends like that." I muttered and he put his arm around me. "Sorry babe." I could tell he was just showing off in front of his friends. Captain of the football team, huh.
I started to help Jughead pack his belongings. Archie had told me that he wanted to speak with FP whilst he was under Police arrest. I needed to keep Jughead distracted. "By the end of the week, they should've given you more time." I told Jughead as I zipped up his bag. "I'll call you after my first day. See how things are going." "You are going to call me the second you meet that new family you're staying with." I demanded and he chuckled. "Will do (Y/N)." And embraced me in a hug. I returned his favour. Jughead hugging was becoming more popular as these days went on. "Oh, and I'll make you a fresh batch of triple chocolate cookies so then you've got something to eat on the first day of school." I said and he laughed. He wrote down the address to the new school.
