You began to walk down the stairs quietly. Hoping Dad wouldn't stop and want to talk to you on your way out. You heard the backdoor close as someone walked into the house.
"What did you think? That I wouldn't see it?""Dad, I was pissed off." Dad just scoffed at Archie's comment. "We were all pretty pissed off. We were trying to send a message. Scare the Black Hood."
"Well, more likely you antagonised this maniac and become a target yourself. Take it down. Right now whilst I can see." Dad spoke harshly at Archie and slammed his phone on the table.
"I already did. The original post. But people keep sharing it."
"Good grief Archie." Pure disappointment came out of dad's mouth. The kitchen went silent. You left the house through the front door.
School was pretty quiet in the morning. You avoided Reggie which was easy to do until someone leaned against your locker.
"What do you want?""Sorry. I didn't know you were in a bad mood." Veronica sympathised.
"Sorry. I thought you were someone else. What's up? I heard you come to the house this morning, but I was in the shower."
"It's all good. Anyways, I made some t-shirts, to support Archie. And as his sister, I think you should wear one."
"Does it have a massive red circle on it?" You question.
"Well, a target. It's low cut. See." Veronica pulled back her midnight black coat and showed me her top.
"Veronica, I think it's best that I don't wear one." You tell her grabbing your books out of your locker. "You said it yourself. You told Archie that he's mates were spineless. That's kinda mean. I think I'm just going to watch from the side lines, for now." You tell her looking at her. "There's your boyfriend now." You point to Archie down the hall. "Maybe the shirts will cheer him up." You tell her and leave for class. Veronica had the team of cheerleaders handing the white shirts out as you walked though the crowd to get to class. You bumped into someone as you tripped over someone's foot.
"Goodness me, I'm so sorry." You apologise as you let go of the strangers shirt which prevented you fall. You knew that shirt from a distance. Paired with a Bulldogs jumper. You knew who you had fallen on.
"It's okay (Y/N)." Reggie spoke as he bent down and picked up your books you dropped. "You don't need to apologise." He smirked. You reached for your books he was holding. "Let me walk you to class at least. You owe me because I saved your pretty face from being bruised." You shrug and he smiled fondly.
"Reg, I'll take it from here." Archie approached you as you made it to your class room.
"All good dude. Just making sure she got to class safe." Reggie spoke winking at you passed over your books. Reggie spun on his heel and walked off.
"(Y/N), I need you to cover for me."
"Huh? Why?"
"I'm going to the Southside."
"Are you insane? Can you get tested? Please."
"Listen (Y/N), just say I'm hanging with Jughead or something if Dad asks where I am. Don't worry about dinner either. I'll get something whilst I'm out. Just make sure," Archie paused and looked around the empty room around us. "Just make sure Dad doesn't stress out about my absence. I should be back by midnight." Archie said and you nod. Before he left you spoke up.
"Just be careful out there Arch. Make sure you tell me everything." You demanded and he gave you a thumbs up.
You were picked out of the class the next day, humiliated in front of your class.
