I know some of you are confused at my epilogue, and before you freak out and think you're missing something let me just reassure you, you are. Congratulations.
I have a lot of reasons for ending this the way I did, and hopefully, this announcement will erase some of the doubts of my sanity (trust me, I would be doubting the author's sanity if I had been reading a story, and the end happened like this one. . .). Before I get to that, though, I just want to say how glad I am that you guys stuck around until the ending, and I really hope that reading this was an enjoyable experience for you! I just want to thank you to the moon and back for all your support and encouragement (currently at #6 in Historical fiction! Whoot!)
First off, did any of you notice the title change? I'm just curious; it's not really anything important, but it may clear up some of your more immediate curiosities. Anyhoo, let's just get on with it, shall we:Wait for it. . .

London of the mid 19th century: a city of feigned propriety, snobbery, and tempestuous attempts at the upkeep of the law. Beneath the veneer of upper class purity lies deceptive immorality with all its debase angles. Hypocrisy of society, however, dictates that those openly found to be lacking in virtue are outcast from the good graces of the well-to-do. . .If they're female, that is. . .Cassandra Antrucha played the game. She was the butterfly society dictated she be, but now, London demands that she wallow in the murk of their loathing. Cassandra, however, has never been one to bow and scrape, and what reason is there for her to start now? She has seen both sides of the fence now, and the desired ballroom pet she was before is gone. Forever. If she has anything to say about it, that is. But between a mother who wishes to destroy what little of her reputation is left, the wild moors of Scotland, and the darkness of her world at large, can she survive long enough to enjoy the life she has been given? And what can she do when she finds her heart yearning for a man who can never fulfill her youthful dreams?
A devil men fear, an angel men desire. Can they come to terms with the love forming between them?
My work in progress and book #2 in an—as yet—unnamed series! (Yeah, the cover isn't the greatest. If any of you would like to make one, however, I would be completely and utterly fine with it. . .)
What do y'all think? I'm pretty excited as the idea for this story was actually formulated a little over a year before HSF began, but I just never got around to writing it out.
***I've posted the prologue and chapter 1 for 'Her Assassin's Heart'! I hope y'all enjoy!!***
