Ashlynn's P.O.V

Max really likes me, and I like him, but do I seriously have a crush on the slender man? I can't believe he is real. The Slender Man is real. He thinks I should rest. I don't think swimming helped me at all. Neither did he. He left to get some food, I hope. He should be back any second now.

I walk over to the couch and cruise through the channels, searching for a show or movie watching. I finally found a movie which happened to be one of my favourite movies. World War Z. After like 5 minutes, I hear a knock on the door. I walk over to it and look through the peephole. I open the door.

"Sorry, forgot my keycard," he laughs as he walks in with a bag full of groceries. "What you watching?" He asks curiously while setting down the groceries on the counter.

"World war Z."

"I never knew you were into that stuff."

"Yeah, I love zombie movies."

"Yeah, that's cool, alright," he laughs a little. However, he didn't sound pleased.

"What's up?"

"Well, I met up with the Jingx that cast a spell on me when I was o-" He stops suddenly.

"Why did they curse you? What's a Jingx?"

"I can't tell you, or I'll get killed. The Jingx is going to kill me for everything." He says with anger in his voice, "but I can tell you what a Jingx is."

I look at him with curiosity, "what is it?"

"It's like a witch but more powerful. Jingx's can do everything a witch can, but they can cast permanent spells and curses. Whether the curse is permanent or not," he shrugs, "I wish I could tell you why."

"It's fine. I'll probably figure it out myself," I say, smiling while walking to the couch.

"I would tell you if I could." He said, trailing behind me and sitting down.

"Don't worry, I'm not mad at you. Even if you did tell me, how would she find out?"

"Well, she's magical. She knows everything," Max says, nudging my shoulder; he checks his watch, "It's around 6:30. Do you want something to eat?"

"Sure."

"Kraft-dinner?"

"Absolutely." he laughs.

"Let's just hope there is a pot in this tiny kitchen," I said worriedly. So I looked for a pot from under the cupboard, and thankfully there is one. So I grabbed it and set it on the element and started to make the Kraft dinner.

As we ate our dinner, World War Z finished, so he changed the channel to paranormal activity 4.

"I haven't seen it yet, and I really want to," he whined.

"Well, neither have I," I shrugged.

After the movie was done, it was 9:00 pm.

"That was an awful movie," he stated.

"It was," I agreed with him.

He shoves my shoulder, "you were clinging to my arm the entire time!"

I rolled my eyes, "whatever, it's been a long day; I should be getting to bed."

"Wait, am I sleeping on the couch while you sleep in that king-sized bed by yourself?"

"Hmm..." I stroked my chin in thought; I smile, "Fine..."

He smiles as he gets up.

"Do you want me to sleep on the couch while you get the king-sized bed?" I asked. He looked at me, confused.

"Nope, I'm good ill sleep on the couch," he sighs as he goes and gets a glass of water.

"Wow, this kitchen is everything!" he says, surprised.

"Well, it is a suite," I chuckle, "I'm going to bed now." I plug in my phone and jump into bed.

I wonder if he meant he wanted to sleep with me... But, of course, he indicated that!

My thoughts kept me up all night, let alone this bed was way too soft. I frustratingly threw a pillow and groaned. Finally, I sleepily walked up to the couch. "Max!" I go to tap him; he wasn't there. Where was he?

Unknown's P.O.V

My girlfriend drags me by the special place in the woods. I trip on a branch, and it snaps, creating an echo through the dead forest.

She giggles, "be careful!"

"I can only walk so fast!" I state. We reach the spot, and she pushes me against a tree. I open my eyes; a tall thin man was standing in the distance and shove her away, I look back, and he's gone. "I'm sorry. I thought I saw-nevermind." There's no way someone was there. I've been listening to too many true crime podcasts.

"What did you see?"

"A man."

She turns around, "no one's there," she affirms.

I shake my head. To brush off how ridiculous that sounds, I grab her collar and kiss her again.

Kill her. A demonic voice sounds through the forest.

"Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Jacklyn asks.

It sounded so real. "That voice. We need to leave." I grab her hand and run.

Now. It states.

I stop, dead in my tracks and turn around; I pick up my girlfriend by the collar. "Ashlie, what are you doing? Please, stop," she struggles, and I grin. I pin her to a pocking out tree branch, and I push, and push, and push until she stops screaming, and I let go, falling to the forest floor.

"Jacklyn?" I look up, "Jacklyn!" Did I do that? I couldn't have. I don't remember the last 5 minutes. I sob uncontrollably; I pick up my phone and dial 911.

"Help me!" I sprint through the forest, "my friend! I think something killed my friend! She's dead!" Dodging the sticks and roots, not caring about the scratches on my arms. I look behind me. Ashlynn was right. He's real. I break through the forest's edge, sprinting to the nearest home with the light on. I band on the door. "Help me! Please, help me!"

Someone opens the door, and I burst through.

"What the hell?"

I sob and lay on the floor. What the hell was that?

"Miss, are you okay?" the operator said through the phone; the owner of the house picked up the phone.

"Hi, she's at 218 sunrise drive. She showed up at my house. She's covered in blood, but I don't think it's hers."

He kneels down to my level. "Can you tell me your name?"

I nod. "Ashlie. Ashlie Storms."
