Gripping the bridges of my nose I'd let out a furious howl. Stop spam texting me or else I will block you! I threaten, my fingers typing frantically.
Take it back Hayley, Ally heard what you said.
HAYLEY!
Why do you have to be so mean.
Stop being a kid and apologize.
This is your fault.
Ally will make your middle school years a living nightmare if you don't apologize! I'm trying to look out for you Hales.
I stare at his text for what seems like forever before replying. Then maybe she isn't as nice as you thought she was.
Hayley your making a mistake.
No, you are. I type furiously back.
Not wanting to argue any more I shut my iPod off before continuing to do my homework. Jeremy is a drama queen, and making a huge fight over nothing. Why should I apologize for stating my opinion when I wasn't even insulting anyone in the first place.
I slam my head against my pillow frustratedly, my eyes clasping close.
I officially hate middle school.
"So are you and Jeremy not a thing anymore?" Madelyn, my other best friend, asks me. I look up, reminded that she was here. I give her a blank look. "When were we ever." I grumble.
"But you wanted to be didn't you?" Madelyn says, reading me like an open book. I open my mouth and close it, resembling a fish out of water. "H-How'd you know?" I manage, finally finding the words to speak. Madelyn twirls a strand of her raven night hair around her pale lanky fingers. "I've been your best friend since kindergarten." She states obviously with a grin.
I blush. "Well not anymore, he's picked his side, and now I'm picking mine."
