Partners *Merome Story*

Chapter Five

HEY! Chapter five! It probably will be later than it should be.... EMILY! (my IRL friend I am currently skyping :3)

*Jerome's P.O.V.*

I. Just. Kissed. My. First. And. Only. Friend.

HOW COULD I BE SO STUPID?! I had him as a friend, and now he probably hates me..... I hope he will still visit. Otherwise.... I don't know what I'd do. I know I love Mitch, just that it's hard to tell him. I want to know if he loves me back, but I don't want to lose him....

*Mitch's P.O.V.*

I continued walking until it became night once again. I had no idea we were this far from the village. I guess Jerome has to stay safe... I just hope no one finds him, except me.

------Time Skip to the village!------

I came upon the village once again after a day of traveling. It seemed nice to be home, but I still am sad about leaving Jerome..... I reached the gates, and the guards promptly opened them for me with wide shocked eyes.

I strolled through the village market, people giving me weird, surprised, and repulsed glances. It seems as if some are happy to see me, and others... not so much.

"MITCH!" I heard my Mother yell to me. "Where have you been?! We thought you were dead! A hunting party found your stuff, and then a pool of dried blood at the bottom of a ravine! I was so worried!" She hugged me tightly, and that is when I saw my father. He looed very angry.

"Mitchell, you didn't come back on time. You failed, and for that, I am punishing you." He said, sounding very peeved. "You will receive a partner that will demote your social status. You will no longer be able to take over the position, like me, the leader of this village. I take this very seriously."

He stood then at his podium in the middle of the town square. He stood, standing tall with an angry expression on his face.

"Everyone!" He called out. "Please come gather, I will now be announcing my son's partner!" His voice boomed and the crowd gather quickly hushed, as being joined by others.

"Mitchell, I have to punish you for failing. Not many fail, and never has the leader's son." He stated. "So, therefore, your partner will be a hybrid. There are not many hybrids, and they are not accepted in this village. But, they are there, and Mitch. Your partner is Emily Heart."

My eyes widened, Emily? I don't think I have ever talked to her that much, once I think. But never the less, I might be able to convince her to let me go an see Jerome. Tell her that I am just going hunting or something...

Emily then walked forward to greet me. She was a wolf hybrid. She had small gray ears on her head, and a gray tail, as well as caramel colored eyes, and dark brown hair. She ws wearing a plaid button-down shirt and blue jeans. (Ooops... Forgot to put that in.... :3)

"Hello," She said, waving slightly to me. She seemed very shy.

"Hi," I said, returning the greeting; I also gave a small wave. "You must be Emily. Nice to meet you?" I slightly questioned, holding out my hand.

"Yes, I am Emily. And it is nice to meet you, too." She grabbed my hand and shook it. "Your father probably won't let you back to your house, your best bet is to quickly get your stuff from your mother and come to my house."

"Oh, alright thank you." I walked over to my mother, who was now arguing with my father.

"Why did you have to do that to him?!" She questioned him. "He did absolutely nothing wrong!"

"He did not come back on the last day of the second month, therefore he will be punished. He is not allowed to be leader." He was glaring at my mother, and she was doing the same.

"Hey, mom?" I asked her after my father had walked off to take care of other 'important' matters.

"Yes Mitchell?" She asked me. "Did you need something?"

"Yeah, I did actually." She nodded slightly. "Dad probably won't want me back home, so can you help me get my stuff?"

"Of course! I'll go get your stuff packed and ready, and I will bring them to you,"

"Thank you, mom," I said, her turning to walk to the house. "You know where I'll be?"

"Yes. At Emily's I presume. I'll bring your stuff over in about twenty minutes." And with that, she walked back to the house.

------Time Skip (at Emily's)------

"Hey, this is my house. Just me, myself an I." She said, giggling. She seemed to be warming up to my presence.

"It's a nice house, especially with.... you know..." I said trying not to hurt her feels (:3)

"Thanks, and it's okay; I am a hybrid, I know... But it's cool, being a wolf," She said, not seeming hurt by my words.

"I know someone who is also a hybrid.." I said, looking at the floor with a glum look, and I sighed; I was thinking of Jerome.

"I also know another wolf hybrid." She said, seeming happy now. "Would you like to meet him?" She looked giddy with excitement.

"Alright, maybe we can see my friend, too.... I don't know if he will want to see me though...." I said in a sad voice.

"Oh, well, I guess we can go now?" She asked, standing from where she sat down.

"Yeah, let's go meet this friend of yours," I grinned.

Writing this from my iPod... At karate.... and it is not the easiest thing to do.... :S

BUT! @iluvmerome's OC was introduced! Now I don't exactly know how to introduce your OC @EnderCooki, but it will happen.
