Breaking The Ice

The Power

The note turned frosty and Ice spread across the words. No Way! I held it more until it was covered with frost. What looked like words were on there. I stood back and saw the print.

"Be careful with the power you posses. Or you will be in great danger."

Danger? I'm not going to be in danger! Is she serious! I gently took it off my neck and placed it back on the letter. I found a little box in my closet that I could put these treasures in.I am old enough now to control my actions. I took my I phone off from my dest and ran downstairs.

"You alright?" my dad said while eating his oatmeal. I was afraid to tell him but I really wanted to. I might as well keep a secret of my own. Ill figure out my own problems. "Yeah I'm fine," I smiled as I walked over to the pantry to get some cereal. I got milk, a bowl and I poured my favorite cereal. My dad turned off the tv so I turned it back on.

After I was done eating, I put the bowl in the sink and ran back upstairs. I shut the door and found my box on my desk. I opened it and found the note and the necklace just where I placed it. I put the necklace on and I held the note again. Still the same words and it still turned into frost. With this turning into frosty, icy, snowy stuff, will the rest of the stuff that I touch turn into that too? I wouldn't dare pick up my I Phone so I Grabbed a piece of colored paper. Ice,snow and frost covered the whole page. Wow! I turned around to go to my closet, but I saw the reflection girl again. "Wow! You scared me! Can you speak?" I looked at her in amusement. Surprisingly she responded,"Yes I can. I am your reflection. Or your ghost. I will be guiding you on this mission."

"What mission?"

"You have to travel across many lands to go stop a power that is the opposite of yours. Don't worry It will be awhile. With propped training and control you will be able to travel. But, for right now, all you will do is train here."

She used her powers to create an icy portal in my window. I guess she would want me to go in so I went in. I found myself in a huge icy place, which looks like one, but I think it's supposed to be a training room. Cause she did talk about training... There were columns of ice on the sides of a big circular ice rink. I was stepping on snow right now just incase I needed ice skates. "You don't need ice skates silly," my ghost said with a smile. "My real names Norine, but since that's the same name you have, you can call me Nori. Come on! Just step on!"
