Space Dad! ~ Shiro x Reader

[A/N: I honestly love Shiro. Half the time he's acting like he's 6 but the other half he's everyone's dad 😂]

You sat down for breakfast and greeted your fellow paladins. However, you noticed one was missing.
"Where's Hunk?" You asked.
Keith mumbled, "sick. Lance is cooking". As if on cue, Lance slid a plate under your nose. Everyone scrunched up their noses.
"What?" Lance exclaimed, "I'm a great cook!"
Pidge poked her 'food' with her fork, "what even is it?".
"It's uh... fruit salad?" Lance stammered.
"If that's fruit I'm glad I'm not Altean" you snorted, "and what's the white powder?"
"Aw come on guys. It can't be that bad, can it?" Shiro sounded uneasy. Lance started to look upset. A few tears escaped his eye and you, Keith, Pidge and Shiro felt guilty.
Keith was the first to speak up, "look Lance, we're sorry. We'll eat it, okay?". Lance quickly cheered up as Keith and Pidge each took a bite. Lance tucked into his own plate and gestured for you and Shiro to do the same. However, you noticed the blue, green and red paladins' features were changing. You slapped Shiro's hand before he could ingest some too.
"What?" He questioned, pulling an adorable face. You pointed worriedly at the two boys who were now about 6 and an even tinier Pidge. Suddenly, you heard a thump. You spun around to see a Hunk sat covered in Lance's breakfast, also much younger.
"How the hell did you get there?" You chuckled. Setting Hunk down on your knee, you turned to see Shiro squatted down by Keith and Lance, stopping a fight.
You giggled, "it's gonna be a busy day, Space Dad!".
"As long as you're with me, it's guaranteed to be amazing" he smirked, causing you to blush.

You and Shiro sat on the sofa watching Power Rangers: Dino Force. Keith had asked for it so you agreed in hopes that the adorable paladins would fall asleep. Your plan had worked. You had Keith asleep in your lap whilst Pidge and Lance cuddled up with Shiro. Hunk had passed out on the floor, in between your legs.
You sighed, "peace at last".
"Don't jinx it!" Shiro joked, "you know, this show reminds me of something".
"What?"
"It's about a group of humans who have robots and their robots can make one big robot. Oh, they kill aliens too".
"I guess that does sound familiar. I wanna make my lion into a dinosaur now!" you giggled. You went back to watching the show, not noticing Shiro staring at you. He loved the way you laughed, your smile, your beautiful E/C eyes. In all honesty he loved everything about you. If he could he would have kissed you right there and then. You were precious to him and he had decided today was the day he'd let you know.

You woke up to small fingers prodding your cheek.
"Heya, Keithy" you ruffled his hair, "where's Shiro?"
He thought for a second, "in Lance's room, reading everyone a story"
"Why aren't you there as well?"
"I don't like Lance"
"Why?"
"He's annoying and he smells"
"Come on" you laughed, "I'll protect you". You scooped Keith up and carried him to Lance's room to join in with the story. Shiro smiled at you when you sat down. The paladins were falling asleep as Shiro read. They all had completely passed out by the time he had finished.
"Good job, Space Dad!" You poked Shiro in the side.
He rolled his eyes, "I'm not-"
You cut him off, "yes you are!".
"Alright then", he smirked, "you can be Space Mum". He cupped your face with his hand and wrapped his robot arm around your waist.
"I'm fine with that" you whispered, your face only millimetres away from his. He connected your lips and you didn't hesitate to kiss back.
However, you were disrupted by a small voice, "EW! Your kissing!". You sat the now fully awake Lance on your knee. He squirmed as you planted a few kisses on his head. Shiro grinned and gazed at your smile.
"God you're beautiful" he breathed, making you blush. You both sat in silence for a few minutes.
"Hey, Y/N?"
"Yeah?"
Shiro took a deep breath, "this is gonna sound crazy because I know we haven't known each other for that long but... I think I love you".
You pulled him in for a kiss, even more passionate than the first, "Takashi Shirogane, I think I love you too"
