Nessa's p.o.v
The detention felt like it was dragging on and on, and to make things worse I was being lectured for not speaking. Again. I sometimes wish they understood why I don't speak so they would leave me alone.
After an excruciating hour I was finally allowed to leave the horrible detention.
Walking out the door someone grabbed me and put something over my eyes blinding me from my surroundings.
The person was forcefully pulling me down the corridor and I was shit scared to what was going to happen to me. I heard a door open, so I assume we are going into a classroom. I was on the edge to having a panic attack I was that scared.
"Relax." I heard a faint whisper and for some reason the person voice did relax me. It was soft, concerned and caring. "There is something you need to know." The mystery person said. Nodding for him to continue I heard a shaky breath come from the person. "You can't go over to Luke's tonight or any time again. I don't care if you have an assignment to do, your safety is more important." I know I can't listen to that, I have to go there or I could be punished. But how do I tell mystery person that, I can't write it and I'm not going to start talking again.
Knowing there was only one option I reached up to the blindfold only to have my hands slapped away. "I can't let you take that off." Not bothering to listen I grabbed the blindfold as quick as possible and pulled it down.
Finding out who the mystery person was gave me possibly a heart attack. "Don't freak out Nessa, I'm not going to hurt you." Ashton said hurriedly. I couldn't wrap my head around it. Why would he care about my safety.
Grabbing out a bit of paper and a pen I wrote down, why then handed it to him. I saw him half smile which confused the hell out of me but then he replied saying, "because I don't want any more pain to be given to you." And for the first time in years I actually smiled.
Skip to end of the day:
Once the bell went I ran as fast as possible out of the place I call hell heading for the park. Probably wasn't the safest place to go to, though it's better then home.
Sitting on the swing I got my journal book out and started writing. This was the only way I could express how I felt.
Page after page I felt hot tears starting to fall from my eyes. I shouldn't be this weak, I should know how to keep the tears in.
Being so focused on what I was writing I hadn't noticed that someone had walked up to me. Until my book was slapped out of my hand.
"You ditched Luke for this!" Michael yelled in my face. I didn't know what to do so I just slowly nodded my head getting ready for the beating. Instead though I was dragged by my hair to what I assumed to be his car.
Finding a blank page in the same book I was writing in before I wrote done 'where are you taking me' then nervously showed Michael. His response was kind of weird and confusing as he was just laughing. It took him at least twenty minutes before he was able to tell me, and I did not like his answer.
Of course he was taking me to Luke's, how could I not see that coming.
All of a sudden my phone went off notifying me I had a message. Except I didn't know who the person was that sent it. So being the smart girl I am I ignored it. A few seconds went by and I got another one saying, 'if you don't answer me right now you will be in more trouble than you already are.'
Thinking it was my dad I messaged him back explaining that I'm at the library studying on an assignment. Moments later I got a reply telling me to look out the window.
There on the other side of the car was one very pissed off Luke.
