"Where is Ben Tennyson?" a woman reporter asked Max, her crimson lips turned in a frown. Max scratched the back of his head, not knowing how to reply,

"He's gotten a couple of injuries, he won't be active for a while..." He said carefully into her microphone. The woman reporter wrote something down on the notepad she had, then shoved the microphone back into Max's face,

"And how did he get these injuries?" She sniffed, her eyes like hazel chips of ice. Max didn't reply, just stood there awkwardly, all the cameras on him. To his luck, another topic arose as a woman came rushing through, an unconscious Albedo in her arms,

"I found this boy by the warehouses, he looks just like Ben, are they related?" The woman had grey curls framing her face, and her eyes glowed with the prettiest shade of amber, Max stared hard at her, trying to remember where'd he'd seen her before.

"Um, hello?" The woman inquired, her eyes fixed on Max. Max's gaze darkened, a very small smile crept on his face as he replied,

"He's the one who gave Ben his injuries!" Max screeched, his finger pointing at Albedo's limp body. The woman tightened her grip on Albedo, pulling him closer to her body,

"Not this boy!" Her gaze darted to Albedo's snow-white hair, she turned his head, uncovering a bloody gash in his head, "He's injured as well!"

"And what is that supposed to mean?" Max growled, his eyes narrowed at Albedo, "That monster harmed my grandson!" The woman shook her head, getting up and stumbling away with Albedo in her arms.

Gwen gasped as Ben's skin turned to dark brown fur, and his nails grew to a point. Rook looked alarmed as he fell backwards, shivering as Ben once more had changed into a large beast. Ben's eyes were still crimson with blood, so he still couldn't see. Gwen quickly realized, that this shape looked more like Ben, than when he first transformed, so that could only mean,

"Every time he changes, that form becomes a bigger part of Ben!" Gwen yelled over a loud, bloodcurdling howl Ben had let out. Rook's gaze flashed with intense fear, he lay on the ground, trembling. As a large paw slammed the ground not to far from Rook and Gwen, Gwen grabbed Rook's arm and ran out of the room. She heard Ben bellow with rage as she ran down the hall, Rook trailing close behind her. Gwen heard crumbling, and tackled Rook to the ground, as a large portion of the wall was smashed, revealing Ben, his eyes glittering with rage.

"Ben! Please, find yourself!" Gwen cried out, her head and arm bruised. Ben only responded with a loud growl, then slamming another paw down, only missing Rook and Gwen by a hair. Gwen staggered up, and started to run again, only just realizing that Rook hadn't followed. Gwen whirled around and saw Rook's leg lodged between a large piece of wall, and the wall still standing.

"Gwen, please, help me!" Rook pleaded, tears streaming down his cheeks in fear of dying. Ben had lunged, his lips drawn back in a snarl, his eyes glinting.

"No!" Gwen screamed as Ben pounced, but Gwen slid out in front of Rook, her hands covered in pink magic. She started throwing bolts at her cousin, watching him wincing and backing away in pain, small, painful wails escaping his brown muzzle. Ben fell through another wall, which led outside. Ben stumbled up and darted outside,

"Gwen! Help, it hurts!" Ben's voice wailed, as the beast ran away. Gwen followed the beast through the broken wall, but she lost his trail. Rook came, panting, behind her, his eyes still wet with tears. Gwen placed a hand on Rook's shoulder,

"He won't get very far, he's blind..."

Rook's eyes widened, and Gwen quickly realized what that meant.

"He's blind!" They shouted together, darting after Ben.

The woman set Albedo down in a dark alleyway, looking over her shoulder every once in a while, hoping she wasn't followed, Albedo started to twitch, and his eyes opened slowly, but he instantly screamed,

"Stop it, shut up!" His hands grabbing his head in pain, the woman flinched. Her warm amber gaze rested on him,

"Hush, it'll be alright..." she cooed, "You're far from harm."

"W-Who...are yo- ah!" Albedo groaned, when he felt the gash on his head. The woman took out a small bag, and grabbed a small box of gauze.

"I'm Reid, and I'm your savior..."
