Chapter 16-Time to Choose

Annie's pov:

I wake up the next morning and feel a strong emotion of love. I walk to my closet and throw on a lazy day outfit{Above}

I grab my phone and walk downstairs feeling the love get stronger. Confused and curious I rush downstairs. I turn the corner fast not paying attention when I run into something hard. Like really hard. I fall backwards. "Ow" I whisper to my self as I prop my hands on the ground to push myself up off the ground. I look up at the object that I ran into

"Hayden?" I question as my vision is blurry
"Um no. It's Conner" He says while putting his hands on my shoulders to stable me.

"Oh Sorry you looked like Hayden with blurry vision." I wrap my arms around his neck and he snakes his arms around my waist. I pull away and smile. 

"Why you smiling?" He questions as a cheesy grin spreads across his face
"You don't remember what today is?" I ask with my smile fading.
"Um no should I?" he asks as he scratches his head
"Um, December 5th? Doesn't ring a bell?" I ask getting angry
"Oh my god! I'm stupid! Happy Anniversary babe!" he exclaims pulling me in a hug. I push him off of me."NO. GOD YOU DO THIS EVERY YEAR!" I yell passed the point of angry.
"Oh oops." is all he says while shrugging his shoulders.
"oops! That's it! No I'm sorry I forgot. Nothing?" I whisper angrily.
"Babe it's fine it doesn't even matter" he says like I am talking about a pen. He trys to pull me in a hug and I back away whilst pushing him away from me. 
"No It does matter! It's my birthday! You haven't remembered my birthday since we met! This is a big deal. You probably don't even know how old I am" I yell while angry tears fall down my face. 
"Youre being over dramatic-"
I cut him off "Get out." is all I say
"Babe don't do this to me"
"Don't call me babe. Get away from me. Don't talk to me. Ever again" I say coldly. 
He starts walking to the door
"Oh and I forgot. We are done.And I mean it"
"Annie please" He looks up at me with tears pooling in his eyes
"Just go Conner. goodbye"and with that he leaves the house and closes the door forever. I walk sluggishly back to my room and close the door and fall on my bed and start crying. 

It's a good 2 hours before I walk out of my room. I through on my jacket and tell my mom I am going for a walk. She says okay and I leave. I decide to walk to the park I went to when I found out Caleb passed away. I walk over to the swing set and slump on one of them. I sit there for about 15 minutes before I hear my favorite song come on. One that always brings me into a good mood. "can't help falling in love" It was the last song I listened to with Caleb

I sing along not knowing anyone is listening. I finish singing along when I hear a clap. I look up and see Hayden."Can I sit?" I nod my head yes and he sits.I scoot closer to him and lean my head on his shoulder and sigh."Whats wrong?" he asks me. "It's a long story" I tell him. "You wanna tell me?" "Not really. Not right now at least" I say honestly. "Okay you can tell me when your ready" He says while staring off into space. I smile. "Thanks" I think to him. "no problem Ans. I care for you. Forever and always. And you know what I mean" I shoot my head up and smile at him knowing exactly what he means. "I do love you you know that right" I ask him. He looks down at me with a sparkle in his eyes. "You do?" He questions me looking directly in my eyes. I nod my head yes and before I can say anything he pulls me in a hug. I awkwardly pull back and look him in the eyes. Before I know what I am doing I lean in to him and he leans into me as well. Our lips collide and start moving in sync together. He pulls away from me and looks me deep in my eyes. "By the way Happy Birthday Ans" He says and gets up. "Goodbye Annie" and with that he leaves. I get up as it starts to rain. "Great" I state. "Just my luck" I say as I look up at the sky. "Here" I hear a voice behind me. I turn around quickly and see a face I never thought I would never see here.
