"Jade, your date is here!" Jade heard her mum yell.
"Coming!" Jade yelled back.
She gave herself one last look in the mirror. She ran her hands over her dress to straighten it out. She fix her hair so it looked perfect.
"Okay." Jade whispered to herself.
She grabbed her bag and exited her room. She took in a big breath and let it out before walking down the stairs. Downstairs her mum waited with her very special date. There Leigh-Anne stood looking as beautiful as Jade has ever seen her.
"Oh, look at my precious baby." Jade's mum said. "You look so gorgeous."
"Thank you mum." Jade said.
Leigh-Anne walked up to her and wrapped her in a hug. "She's right, you are gorgeous."
Jade wrapped her arms around Leigh-Anne. "Thank you. You look wonderful as well and you smell delightful."
"Okay, okay." Jade's mum said. "I need pictures."
"Mum." Jade groaned.
"Jade this is your first date and we need to have memories of it."
"She's right Jade." Leigh-Anne said.
"Fine."
Jade wrapped her arm around Leigh-Anne and pulled her closet while Leigh-Anne put her head on Jade's shoulder. Jade's mum took multiple pictures and showed them to the girls each time.
"Okay mum." Jade said impatiently. "I think you have enough of them."
"Okay." Jade's mum said. She placed the camera on the stand next to her and went to hug her daughter. "Have fun and call me if you need anything."
"Okay mum." Jade said. She took Leigh-Anne's hand in hers and walked to the door. "I'll see you later."
She waved at her mum one last time and opened the door. She walked down the driveway where she seen Leigh-Anne's mum car. They pair got into the car and buckled up their seatbelt.
"Okay, girls. Where to?" Leigh-Anne's mum asked.
"I was thinking we could go to the pizza place near here." Leigh-Anne suggested.
"I could really go for some pizza." Jade said.
"Well pizza it is." Leigh-Anne's mum said. She turned the key and put on the radio.
They arrived to the pizza place and Leigh-Anne's mum put the car in park. She turned and looked at the girls. "I'll be waiting out here if you girls need anything. Here's some money if you need it."
"Thanks mum." Leigh-Anne said. She took the money from her mum and both her and Jade got out the car.
They walked into the pizza place where a hostess was waiting.
"Hello girls." The hostess said. "Is it a table for two?"
"Yes." The girls said.
"Okay." The hostess said. She grabbed two menus from under her tiny stand. "Would you like a table or a booth?"
"A booth." Leigh-Anne said.
"Alright. Follow me." The hostess said.
She walked towards a smaller booth in the back and the girls followed.
"Here you go." The hostess said. The girls took a sit and looked at their menus. "A waiter will be here to take your order in a few minutes."
"Thank you." Jade said.
