chapter five
I'll miss this

" It hurts when you have someone in your heart, but can't have them in your arms."

-UNKNOWN

FISH WAS CURLED UP NEXT TO PERRIE when I awoke. "Good morning Pez."

Perrie groaned and rolled over, throwing her arms over me just before I could stand up.

"Pez, I need to make breakfast."

She shook her head. "Stay," she mumbled, pulling me closer.

I stroked her hair as she lay her head on my chest. "Perrie-"

"I can hear your heart beating," she said, cutting me off. "It's going really fast. Why?"

I didn't know what to say, so I just shrugged. "You're so beautiful Pez." I murmured, tracing her scar.

"I'm not."

I placed my hand beneath her chin and gently turned her head so that her gaze switched from the floor to me, "You are, Perrie."

Perrie just smiled, kissing me before pulling the blanket up and laying back down.

Jesy burst through the door, her breathing heavy. "We have studio in-" she looked at our position.

"It's not what it looks like!" I moved away from Perrie.

"It was cold!" she added, flushing.

Jesy began to smirk, "Sure, lovebirds. Studio in five. Get dressed." Jesy closed the door.

I sighed, "Pez, we can't be like this."

"But we can, Jade." Perrie pressed her lips against mine. Again.

I saw tears beginning to form in her eyes. "Pez, I love you, but management won't allow it. Jesy nearly caught us; if she had come in two seconds earlier, we'd be kissing and we'd be a goner." I tried to suppress the tears. It wasn't working. "I'm so sorry, Perrie."

Tears silently rolled down her cheeks. I gently wiped them away. "One last time?" She locked eyes with me. Hers glistened from the tears she was still trying to conceal. "Please, Bambi?"

I nodded, and this time, I kissed her. I felt her heart speed up beneath my palm. My lips lingered upon hers for a moment longer than intended.

When we finally pulled away for air, Perrie had tears streaming down her face and it broke my heart.

"I'll miss this," she whispered, hugging me. I watched as she leant into my shirt, sobbing. Her porcelain skin was blotchy from tear stains.

"I'll miss this too, Pez."
