Good Morning Sunshine

Wow, I don't think that I could have had a worse headache right now. When I opened my eyes, I immediately shut them again because I realized that I'm facing the window and the sun is blinding me. I just want to stay in bed all day and not get up until my hangover goes away. As I attempt to just go back to sleep, I feel someone behind me move. My eyes shoot open and I turn around a little too quickly, my hand accidentally flinging and hitting them straight in the face.

"Ow! What the hell, Layla!" Craig screeched in surprise from me waking him up. I was about to ask what was going on, but ran to the bathroom instead, and emptied my stomach. Craig followed me, pulled my hair into a makeshift ponytail, and rubbed my back until I was done. When I was completely done, Craig went to the sink get a wet towel for my face. He stayed with me until I finally sat back against the wall opposite the toilet.

"When you're done in here, I'll meet you in the kitchen." He said leaving the bathroom. When the dizziness and nausea went away, I looked in the mirror to see the dark circles under my eyes and my hair sticking up all over the place. I'm too tired and way too hungover to care what I look like right now, so I throw my hair into a messy bun, wash my face and head to the kitchen.

As I walk in, I notice that Craig has made a pot a coffee and is standing at the stove shirtless making some breakfast. I sit down on one the bar stools and see some Tylenol on the counter in front of me.

"Good morning sunshine!" I winced because I feel like Craig basically yelled in my face. He noticed and apologized, "Sorry. Those are for you by the way, and I didn't know if you wanted coffee or not but I made some anyway."

"Could I just get some water?" He nodded his head and reached to get a cup for me. I took the pills and chugged the rest of my water. I start rubbing my temples trying to get my headache to go away.

As I start remembering last night's events, I think back to having too many drinks, dancing with Craig, almost kissing Craig, drinking more, and Craig and Nicky yelling at each other. Wait...Nicky and Craig were fighting at the party. Did they just have a fight or did they break up? I mean when I first met her at the party a few weeks ago he didn't seem too interested in her.

"I don't mean to be nosy or anything, but what ended up happening between you and Nicky yesterday?" I hate poking around in people's business, especially when it comes to relationships, but I can't help myself. Craig sighed and turned around to face me.

"Well, she yelled at me a little bit, pushed me, and then I walked away. I'm honestly over her teenage bullshit. I'm going to talk to her today and break up with her officially." As he said this, my eyebrows shot up in shock because I was not expecting him to say that. Not saying I'm not ecstatic about it, but still.

"Wow, ummm I'm sorry, I guess?"

"No, don't be. She's too young for me and I'm done with her shit," he said looking me up and down. I try to hide my blush by drinking more of my water. As I put my cup down, I look at the clock on the wall and realize that I need to get home because I have work in a few hours.

"Listen I don't mean to be rude and just sleep over and leave, which I appreciate by the way, but I have a thing with Scarlett and I really need to shower and change and try to suppress this hangover some so..."  I trail off as I slide off the bar stool. Craig grabs his coffee and takes a drink before nodding.

"Yeah, that's fine. Unless you want to take a shower here before you go," he suggests with a smirk on his face, shooting me a wink. I blush again and shake my head. I walk towards Craig's room and start to change into the clothes I had on the night before.

Once I'm completely ready, I grab my purse and start to head towards to front door. Craig was smoking a blunt, watching tv, but when he saw me he came over to walk me to the door. We stood there looking at each other for a minute before he tucked a piece of hair, that had fallen out of my bun, behind my ear. I leaned into his hand slightly before I started to head out the door. I got into the Uber that I called earlier and went back home.

I walk in the door and Scarlett immediately jumps off the couch and runs over to me asking about what happened between Craig and I. She said that Craig had texted her saying he was taking me to his place. I explained to her that nothing happened other than me falling asleep at his place and throwing up this morning.

"He said that he's going to break up with Nicky today," I told Scar reluctantly. I don't want to seem like a homewrecker because that has never been my intention throughout this whole situation.

"Wow! I didn't see that coming. After I got that text from Craig, I went to the kitchen where I saw Nicky taking shots and making out with some random guy. I heard them arguing and assumed that they had already broken up." Scarlett saying this makes me feel somewhat better because now I feel like I didn't totally ruin their relationship. I'll probably text Craig tomorrow to see how it went with Nicky, but for now I have to try to get over this hangover and get through today.

Sorry that I haven't posted in a really long time, but I've been super busy with school and finals; however, I have finally gotten a chance to write again so I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Hopefully I'll post another chapter again soon.
