A/N: Lesbian Pride! Hooray! Enjoy this short little story and remember: don't change for anyone! Love you all and enjoy!
Luna. Just her name was amazing, but her as a person...magnificent. She was so beautiful with her lavender-colored hair and her electric blue eyes were so mesmerizing. She was just so beautiful.
"Jennie, why are you staring at that weird girl again?" Ella asked me and I snapped out of my daydream.
"What? I-I wasn't staring at her," I protested, my face heating up a bit.
"Yeah, you were. You're always staring at that weirdo. I don't get why," Ella told me, crossing her arms over her chest. Ella knew I was lesbian, but she didn't know I liked Luna. I was, what you would consider, a 'cool' kid. Luna was considered a 'nerd'. I didn't see her that way, but apparently everyone else did.
"Jennie? Did you hear anything I just said?" Ella asked and I shook my head.
"I, uh, no I didn't. Sorry," I apologized, looking over at Ella.
"I was saying that, even though you are lesbian, doesn't mean she deserves you. You can find someone much better than...her," Ella said, saying 'her' in a disgusted tone. I rolled my eyes.
"What is that supposed to mean, Ella?" I questioned, getting a bit angry.
"I mean that I'm sure there's someone who likes you and probably actually deserves you than her. She's a loser and doesn't deserve anyone," Ella said. That made my decision final. I just had to wait until tomorrow.
"Yeah, sure, whatever," I grumbled, turning back to my lunch.

By tomorrow, I had everything figured out. This time, when lunch rolled around, I didn't go to the 'cool kid' table. I went straight to Luna's table. Ella looked at me confused and started following me. When she realized where I was headed, she turned around and went to the cool kid table.
Luna was already sitting at her table and I could hear my heart beating in my chest. I took a deep breath and kept walking. I pushed my long hair behind my ear and sat down next to Luna.
"Hi there, I'm Jennie," I said with a smile, startling Luna.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you," I quickly said, studying her.
"N-No, it's fine. Why are you sitting over here?" Luna asked and I was taken aback.
"Do you not want me to sit here?" I asked and Luna quickly shook her head.
"No! No, it's not that. It's just that, well, you're one of the cool kids and I'm just...well, I'm just me," Luna said quietly and I smiled.
"But you're so much cooler than me. Sure I might sit with a ton of people and stuff, but that doesn't make me cool. You're always being yourself and that makes you cool. I'm always putting up an act," I told her and she smiled at me.
"I'm Luna," Luna smiled.
"I know," I responded immediately and my eyes widened.
"Oh my god! That sounded so creepy! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for it to. I mean, I knew your name was Luna because I've liked you for a while and I haven't stalked you or anything. Oh god I'm sorry!" I apologized and Luna giggled. Her giggle was so adorable.
"Did you just say you've liked me for a while?" Luna asked, a small blush dusting her cheeks while mine were on fire.
"I-I, uh, well I mean I have, but I didn't realize I just said that," I stuttered out and Luna smiled. She grabbed my hand, causing me to blush even more.
"I've actually liked you for a while too, but I thought I'd never get a chance with you because you were straight," Luna confessed and I twisted my hand around, lacing our fingers together.
"Well, I'm not straight. So, I guess I'm all yours," I smiled and Luna smiled at me too.
That was the best lunch period I've ever had.
