Liam has convinced me to sing at the pub again since it was the night before I leave for LA. It took quite a bit for him to do it, but he succeeded in getting me here with my guitar.

With a quick good luck from my mate and my guitar strapped to my back as I make my way to the stage that was currently empty at the back of the pub, leaving Liam where he normally gets drinks.

I get to the back area of the stage and start unpacking my guitar that I will take to LA with me. Going through my preset routine making sure all the strings are in tune and the mic is set up with a stool in front of it.

By the time I'm set up I look towards Liam and see him talking to someone by the door we came in. It's probably just one of his mates.

I brush off Liam's current action and check the time on my wristwatch seeing that it is time for me to start my set.

"Hello, my name is Niall Horan, it's a pleasure to be playing for you all." I quickly say into the mic before starting my first song. A cover of 'Dive' by Ed Sheeran.

"Maybe I came on too strong

Maybe I waited too long

Maybe I played my cards wrong"

The lyrics start after a little acoustic guitar beginning.

"So don't call me baby

Unless you mean it

Don't tell me you need me

If you don't believe it

So let me know the truth

Before I dive right into you"

The song continues into the chorus where I get a good look at the crowd seeing some familiar faces, some just known to me from playing here so often and others who I see outside of this pub. Looking towards Liam I see him talking to someone that-

It can't be. Focus Niall.

"Before I dive right into you

Before I dive right into you"

The song finishes before I even know it.

(Liam POV)

I walk into the pub with Niall, it took a while to convince him to do this, but I know it will be a good way for him to shut this door and get some real closure before heading to America for however long.

I watch as he heads towards the stage making sure he gets there ok. Once he makes it I go and order myself a pint from the somewhat familiar bartender. This is my favorite pub since it's close to everything and hidden enough that it's never overly crowded.

Looking back towards my mate on the stage I see him tuning his guitar and going through his normal routine. I look towards the door where we came in and see a couple of familiar faces that I haven't seen in a while.

Harry Styles.

"What are you doing here?" I question once I get close enough that they would hear me over all the chatter and faint rap song playing through the speakers of the building.

"Aye, Liam what's up, mate? Been a while hasn't it?" The wrong familiar face responds.

Taking a deep breath and ignoring the other boy's response I ask again, "What are you doing here?"

"Wanted to get a drink with my mate and hear some good music. Is that a crime now, Liam?" He responds like he doesn't know why he can't be here.

"It is when you're involved, Harry. Niall's playing tonight, in a few minutes actually. Haven't you hurt him enough? He's not over you yet, I hope you know that." I defend my best friend, trying to protect him like normal.

"You know more than anyone I broke up with Niall with his best interest in mind. He's not the only one still hurting."

"That doesn't mean you can just waltz in here, you know he is going to see you. Harry, if you really still love him you would leave before he sees you."

"I don't think I can do that, I want to see him. I heard he's going to LA tomorrow. I just want to see him perform and then I'll leave. I promise." The long haired boy says with sincerity in his eyes.
