"Liam?! Mate what are you doing here?" I question while opening my arms and walking to the door that my best friend just walked through. It had been too long.

"It's been a while and I didn't think you were gonna come home anytime soon, so I decided to come to you," He says during our hug. I missed this. I needed this.

"You didn't have to win a meet and greet to see me you know?" I say releasing him from the hug and giving him a big smile. I didn't think a genuine smile was going to happen from me for a while.

"Well, that's good, because I didn't. Jerry and Jason, we're in on this" He replies while gesturing towards my driver and manager. "Said you've been acting weird the past couple weeks."

"Thanks, guys, even though you didn't tell me."

"Mr. Horan there's one more person and then the show is supposed to start in 20 minutes," Linda tells me and everyone else in the room. Clearly not meaning to rush everyone, but keep everyone on task.

"Ok, you can send them in. Liam just go stand over there with the two trouble makers" I guide while Linda goes to get the final person.

The rest of the meet and greet goes off without a hitch. Everyone kept telling me how much they loved the music I already had out and are excited for the stuff I'm working on.

Now, I'm just getting ready for the mini show I have for the fans I met plus a few more.

"Ready Ni?" Liam says walking towards me. "I'm excited to see this, been missin' seeing you play at the pub" He continues.

"Yeah, you gonna watch from here?" I ask gesturing to the black curtain set up at the back of the makeshift stage.

"Probably"

"Alright, see you after," I say hearing Linda introduce me. She's everywhere wow.

I walk out onto the stage and see about 40 people who are now standing. Last time I looked at the crowd they were sitting, but that was before I was announced.

"Hello, I'm Niall Horan, but you probably know that. Ha. Anyways, I have a few songs for you guys" I announce while starting to strum the chords to 'Slow Hands'

After 'Slow Hands' finishes I move onto a song I haven't released yet called 'Right Now' (A/N Lol Midnight Memories what a time). That's when I see it. Him. Standing in the back of the room.

I try to finish the song as quick as I can while looking at the ground in front of me. What is he doing here? Why can't he just leave me alone? He didn't seem to have any problems for all these months.

Before I know it the song finishes and I'm apologizing saying I need a minute.

"Niall? What's going on?" Liam instantly questions after I step off.

"He's here. In the back. Liam, I-I, I don't want to see him" I stutter through the tears growing in my eyes, my breathing becoming shallow. I instantly think of last night.

Liam instantly wraps me in his arms, sheltering me from the world in a way. I hear him talking to people, answering their questions, telling them what's wrong.

"I'll go get him out of here" I hear Jerry say in response to Liam's explanation.

I feel Liam nod in response, hugging me tighter and rubbing my back slightly.

All of you thought it was going to be Harry. Honestly, at first I was going to make it Harry but then changed my mind.

Thank you for the comments on the last chapter. I woke up and saw them all and was genuinely shocked.

I don't know how or when this story is going to end. Like I planned it out before writing it, but not that far plus I've changed things from my original plans. So, we'll see how this turns out.

Also next Wednesday I'm going on a campus visit of this college I'm interested in and seeing one of my best friends who lives by the college. Then on Thursday, I'm going to see Shawn Mendes and my birthday is the day after. So I'm super excited for next week!

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and that the cliff hanger was everything you wanted.
