Alex's POVSo, today I learned who Thomas Jefferson was. And his best friend, James Madison. Oh, and Aaron Burr.
"Thomas, calm down," James Madison said, holding Thomas back from punching me.
"But he doesn't like macaroni and cheese, James!" Thomas replied.
The two looked a lot like Laf and Herc, but Thomas had his bouncy hair down, and Madison was really small. Like, slightly smaller than me. And that's small.
"Not everyone has the same weird obsession as you, Tom."
"It's not weird!"
"I walked in on you practically making out with mac'n'cheese."
Thomas grunted.
"Touché," he said, sitting down. Madison shook his head but smiled at me."Sorry. He's got a peculiar obsession with mac'n'cheese. You get used to it... eventually," the smaller guy said.
"Well, yeah, you would Madison. After all, you must get used to the taste when your sticking your tongue down Jefferson's throat-"
"Stop there, Hercules," Madison said, turning a bright shade of red. The same happened to Thomas. The two were surprisingly silent after that.
Well, apparently they are not just best friends like Jefferson said.
"So, Alex," Angelica began, "what do you think about women's rights."
I perked up, eager to talk about this, especially with Angelica. She was so smart and quick-witted. Then again, Eliza's really nice too. Not as up for hardcore debate as Angelica, but she's so pure.
And then there's Peggy. I can tell she's clever. But she's also pretty crazy. How? I learnt that one time, when Herc dared her to chug five glasses of water, she did it and then attempted to throw the glasses out of the window in a gesture of victory.
Yeah. That happened once.
I decided to answer Angelica, turning to her with a grin.
"Well, women do so much for this country. Without them, we wouldn't have... anyone. They give birth, and they've gone through so much. Trans women included. They ought to have so many more opportunities akin with men than they do. They deserve as much equality as everyone else," I answered. She nodded, a broad smile on her face.
"You and I are going to be good friends, Alexander Hamilton."
Then, Aaron spoke up for the first time.
"Guys. Can we leave now? We've already eaten, and it's getting late."
"You are the worst, Burr!" Lafayette grumbled, resting his chin on the table.
"Aaron, you can leave if you want to. Don't wait for us," James said, finally recovering from what Hercules had said.
Aaron grunted and got up, quickly leaving without looking back.
"Huh. Normally he waits for everyone," Thomas commented.
"True. What's that he always says to the new students? Talk less, smile more?"
Maria asked. She wore a red dress. She was rather beautiful. She had an air about her. No wonder Peggy was really gay for her.
"Wait, I have an idea," Peggy suddenly said. "State your sexuality and preferred pronouns. Just so no-one gets mixed up."
"That's a good idea, actually," I said. "Well, I'm Bi, and I go with he/him."
We went around the table; me, John, Herc, Laf, Jefferson, Madison, Eliza, Angelica, Peggy and then Maria.
"Gay as a rainbow, he/him."
"Pansexual, he/him."
"Pan, he/him."
"Gay, he/him."
"Panromantic Asexual, he/him."
"Bisexual, she/her."
"Heterosexual, she/her."
"Lesbian, she/her."
"Bisexual, she/her."
After going around in a circle, I made a mental note that John was very gay and I have the slightest chance with him.
"Great! Well, it's 10:00. We'd better get going. Aaron actually had a good idea."
We all murmured with approval at Eliza's suggestion, and got up as group and walked back to the dorms.
John's POV
All night, I could barely refrain from hugging Alex, or resting my head on his shoulder.
Only because I was tired, shut the fuck up.
We settled into beds, which we had sorted out before we left; Laf slept on a bottom bunk whilst Herc slept on the top, and on our bunk, Alex slept on the bottom whilst I slept on the top.
"Night, guys," I mumbled into my pillow. The others didn't hear; Alex was trying to sleep, Herc was already snoring. Laf tossed around a bit, but slept eventually.
I almost slept. But my mind dragged me to the boy underneath my bed.
Alex.
He was rather cute. He was really cute. Pretty hot. Fuck.
I eventually fell asleep though, with no dreams coming my way.
"John! John, wake up!" I heard yelling. Then I heard Lafayette mutedly screaming.
"W-What the hell," I muttered, brushing some stray hair out of my face.
"John, there's a spider in the corner of the room!" God fucking damn it.
I got up and yawned, then grabbed a tissue from the bathroom.
"Okay, okay, calm down." I grabbed the spider with the tissue and then threw it outside. "There."
Herc and Laf thanked me before Alex woke up.
"I heard screaming. What's happening now?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Laf and Herc were terrified of a little money spider," I answered. Alexander giggled before telling us an idea he had.
"Let's get something to eat. I need coffee."
So, with that, we set off down to the cafeteria.
Jefferson's POV
Yesterday.. wasn't the best night, but it was okay.
I've learnt who Hamilton is. And, whilst I don't like thinking it, he seems okay. Not as bad as Aaron, who we have to share a dorm with.James and I were walking down to the cafeteria. It was rather nice, to be honest, being alone with Jemmy.
Then we saw the others and I regretted coming down in the first place.
Why? Because Herc and Laf were kissing each other and Peggy was pining over Maria.
"Do you wanna just head back to the dorm?" I asked James.
"Yep," he answered quickly. We casually turned around, then ran.
Next chapter will have some Jeffayette and more Lams, along with some Meggy. And HamBurr. Quite a bit of HamBurr. But don't worry, Alex still likes John ;)
