(Blake's POV)

The taxi driver pulls up to the park and I quickly jump out and sprint towards where the bridge is from what I remember. The sun is slowly setting as I continue to run faster before it gets too dark to see.

Pulled up against the curb is Adam's car from what I can see. My heart starts to speed up as I start to wonder if it's already happened. The bridge comes into sight and I can see a lanky figure standing on the railing.

"Adam!" I yell out trying to get his attention. He turns to me with a shocked expression and he moves closer to the edge. He won't die on impact but if I don't get there in time then he will drown.

When I'm almost in arms length of him he does it. He jumps. "Adam!" I scream once more, now with tears pouring down my face. I reach over the edge in attempt to grab him but I barely am able to graze my hand over his.

I hear the loud splash of his body plummeting into the rushing water. I run off of the bridge and turn on my phone flashlight in attempt to find him in the rushing stream. I'm about to just give up and accept that he is gone but then I see a hand fly up above the water.

I jump at the sight and start screaming "Help me! Somebody!" Then I attempt to grab him and pull but it's no use. He is stuck on something and is losing oxygen by the second.

"Help!" I scream louder now with more and more tears flying out of my eyes. A few people rush over and quickly realize what's happening and try to help me pull him out. There's still no use.

I throw my phone and hat onto the grass beside me and I get in the rushing water. I brace my foot between a few rocks so that the current doesn't push me away. I dive my head under the water and scan around.

His foot is caught between some heavy rocks. I get my foot out of the rocks I wedged it into and I quickly push myself against the current. I reach him and notice that he is still somewhat conscious.

His eyes are wide open and when he sees me he tries to push me away to not let me get him unstuck. I'm stronger than him so I grab both of his hands and pull them above the water and the other people grab them and keep him in place.

I grab his foot and pull but instantly regret it. He starts squirming in pain and I can see a small red tint float around the water. I grab the rocks and try to move them and successfully move one but the other one is too heavy for me.

I attempt to push it with more force but I just get pushed back and into the rushing current. I attempt to move rocks around so I can brace myself in place and then I try again and succeed this time.

After I push the heavy rock away the red tinted color multiplies and surrounds me quickly. I lift Adam up and out of the water and once he breathes in enough air, he starts fighting back trying to get out of my grip.

"Adam stop please!" I say trying to calm him down but it's no luck. I lay him down on the grass and get the other group of people to hold him down. I try to look at his leg but there's so much blood that I can't see much.

I slip off my flannel and then take off my T-shirt under it and press it against his leg and he winces a bit then starts to softly whimper. I start to rub my thumb over his thigh to calm him down a little bit as I continue to put pressure on the bottom part of his leg to stop the bleeding.

One of the people in the group calls 911 and shortly an ambulance arrives. "Sir, you must move so we can hoist him onto the medical bed!" One of the officers says to me. I let go but leave the shirt there.

"Would anyone care to ride along with him to the hospital?" The same officer asks. "I will." I say and jump into the back of the ambulance. A few of the nurses are trying to calm his breathing while another is examining his leg.

"Will he be okay?" I ask with tears threatening to pour out of my eyes. "We don't quite know yet sir. I can tell that his leg will be needing stitches and it could possibly be broken and also he has a lot of water built up in his lungs since he keeps attempting to cough it up. Do you know what happened exactly?"

"Yeah, he found out that his wife was cheating on him and also had a child with the other man and that was just enough for him so he went to the bridge in attempt to commit suicide." I say softly. "You're a hero sir. If it weren't for you, he'd actually get what he wanted." The nurse says to me and I just nod.

I grab his hand and start to rub little circles on the back of it with my thumb. He stirs a little bit then goes unconscious due to the cocktail he was given. We arrive at the hospital and the nurses roll the bed out and a few others arrive to close the doors and help roll him inside.

I follow them quickly as I am led to a room where he is taken into but I'm stopped by a doctor. "Sorry sir, but nobody is allowed in at the time until we figure what all we are dealing with here. You can have a seat in the small waiting room and fill out this page for me please."

I nod my head sadly and take a seat and fill out the pages of paperwork.

(Adam's POV)

What happened? Why can't I see anything?

All these questions flood through my mind as I try to remember what happened. I start to hear a few voices around and listen carefully to what's being said.

"Why would THE Adam Levine need to commit suicide!" I hear a woman's voice say. Suicide? I think to myself. Did I try to commit suicide?

My thoughts are interrupted as another voice intervenes. "I don't know nurse. All I know is that Blake Shelton is the one who saved him from drowning in a rushing current. Now, hand me the string and the needle for his stitches would ya?" A male voice says.

Soon after I hear that voice, I feel a sharp pain in my leg that should make me wince and move but neither of those happen. The stinging pain continues for a few minutes and then it's gone.

I hear the door open and the doctor speaking to someone. "He will be knocked out for a few days and after that he will be discharged. He will need to take his prescription pain meds twice a day and antidepressants once a day. He will also need physical therapy to work with his leg. It would probably be good for him to be supervised for about a week or two as well." The doctor says.

"Sure thing. I'll probably be the one to watch him and work with him and his leg." I hear a country accent say. Blake?
