Meanwhile still at the party

Hey Sheri can we leave I'm a bit tired, I'm sorry for ruining your night-"

Sheri cut me off politely as possible

"It's alright my mom has been texting me like crazy to go home anyways" Sheri assured me

As we left Justin kept glancing at each other.

I hope Sheri didn't notice

We both swiftly made to the car which was small walk away from Bryce's house.

Sheri then started the ignition and started to drive off to my house.

"Sooo.....are you going to talk to me about Justin?"

"What do you mean" I said trying to act confused

"C'mon Adi, I saw you guys talking outside-"

"That doesn't mean anything"

"Ok you just cut me off, I saw you guys glancing at each other the whole night and I think he looked jealous when the bottle landed on you and Bryce"

I just looked sternly and her

"He's not my type it's not going to happen"

"Good since he's kinda-a bit of a player"

"How so?" I questioned her

"He's has had so many girlfriends and affairs I'm surprised you don't know about it" she said keeping her eyes on the road.

I suddenly felt a small pain in my chest.

"Oh" was the only thing that formed out of my lips

The feeling still being there

"I also saw Bryce run after you left to the bathroom, what happened?"

I sighed in defeat.

"He tried to kiss me"

"But did you kiss him?"

"No, I showed him I wasn't interested" I said as I checked my phone for any notifications.

Mom Hey sweetheart, I'll be leaving tonight to New York. I'll see you soon in 2 weeks. I love you

Hannah Hey we need to talk meet me at the cresmont

Well here we are and we'll finish this discussion tommorow

I just laughed

"We'll see about that " I spoke as I waved her goodbye

I woke to my phone alarm ringing. I sloppily got out of bed and did my usual morning routine.

After I was done I yelled for my Mom. Glancing at the time. Yup breakfast was definitely not happening.

No response

I made my way downstairs curious if she was at home.

Wait... I forgot she went on one on her business trips. My moms a traveling nurse, she started to travel when I was about 16, last year I guess.

I miss her a lot now and then. We've had this close bond as long as I can remember. I never met my biological dad I've had a stepdad but my mother divorced him when I was young.

I heard a loud honk coming from outside that interrupted my thoughts. I quickly grabbed a gronala bar and left grabbing my backpack from the living room.

"Ok I don't mind giving you rides since we live in the same neighbourhood but why since you have a car and a nice one may I add"

" Eh I like you as my uber driver but by the way yours is better" I smirked at her

"Hey, um remember how you said that Justin is quite a player. Is he dating anybody at the moment?"

"No, but I heard he had sex with Hannah"

"Wait what-"

"Yeah he sent the whole school the photo"

"Wait what."

"Yeah a jackass movie even for Justin"

I can't believe Hannah hasn't told me about this I mean we have separated ourselves going to different friend groups. But we're still friends not close but certainly friends.

"Can I see it" demandant tone

Sheri parked the car near the entrance.

She got her phone from her backpack and showed me the photo.

You could clearly tell it was Hannah. Seeing the picture startled me, I was disgusted knowing someone could be that sick.

I entered the school walking past groups of people sometimes hearing her name.

"Hey guys, we've been discussing European history for quite some time and I've decided to require this project instead of taking an exam in which it will require partners"

we'll have a class projects coming up and it'll require partners

Practically the whole class cheered.

"Don't get your hopes up I picked your partners" she strictly spoke.

The few classmates now groaned and few rolled their eyes her statement.

"Listen I will on repeat myself once"

"Sheri and Jessica"

"Clay and Marcus"

"Bryce and Montgomery"

And on on it went

"Justin and Levianna"

Shit. This is not what I needed

As the class was over students rushed over to their next period I rushed over to Ms.Wendsen

"Ms.Wendsen can I please change my partner" I asked as nicely as possible

"I already made it clear that we can't change our partners".

"But-"

"Enough said get to your next class before you run late"

I left her classroom signing in defeat
